Chapter 18

Adrian walks back to where his father is. He see's his mother standing next him. Adrian knows she's not there because she's dead. Early when dad was choking him he saw Alex and he couldn't believe it then he saw the true Alex and fought back. "Are you going to just stand and stare at me boy!" Adrian quickly walks over to him. "Did you get my little present?" His father kicks him in the left leg. Adrian's leg buckles and he falls to the floor. "I'm surprised you still carried her to the elevator. Considering you got shot."
"Yeah well I have had worse."
"What did you say?"
"I said I have had worse! Because of you!"
Adrian's dad punches him in the face then walks over to the box. Adrian quickly recovers from the punch and stands up and runs to stop him. Adrian hears a gun and feels a object slice into his shoulder. Adrian hits the floor hard and fast the breath had been holding is gone. He looks over at his dad by the box. "I'll go with you just don't blow up the hospital they did nothing to you!" His father waves at the men and they leave the floor by elevator. "I was untouchable I had always been. Then you got a girlfriend and got me arrested! All because you think your more than you are. No its not necessary to blow up the hospital, but I will because it will show you that I am not afraid to do anything to keep you from killing anyone else you trash!" Adrian stands up and stares at his father then he falls into his fighting position. His father laughs. "Who do you think you are boy? I've tought you everything you know! You can't win against me!"
" I've been through a lot. I've gotten locked in a closet,beaten with a bat, and shit by own father. I can deal with that but I will do anything to protect Alex! I will not let her die like mom!" Adrian throws a punch at his dad's face, his dodges and comes up with a punch straight to adrians gut right where some stitches busted. Adrian steps back a little , his father kicks him in the leg making fall then his dad punches him several times. Adrian stands back up and put s his fists up in a blocking position. A fist hits his face over and over again. Before Adrian knows what's happening he is ingulfed in pain. His father stops and laughs. "You will never learn I will always win!" Adrian stands up and leans against the nearest wall. Adrian can't focus on anything. Then he sees th fire alarm on the wall beside him. He reaches out and pulls the handle on the fire alarm. The ea piercing screech pulses in his brain and knows he's doing the right thing. His dad grabs him by the collar of his shirt. He looks at his father and only sees a man who can't forgive himself. " I am saving everyone from your selfishness."
"You haven't saved everyone." His dad smiles as the elevator doors open and the two men come out carrying Alex. Adrian trys to stand but his father pushes him back down. "Now you both can die here or you can come with me."
"Adrian don't!"
"Okay but you have to help Alex too." His father smiles and helps him up. Adrian grabs the gun from his dad's waist band and points it at him. "I should kill you right now! But I'm not! You are going to leave without me and without blowing up the hospital or I swear to god I will kill you right here right now! Now set me down!" His father sets him down and Adrian scoots over to the wall. Then men let go of Alex and all three of them leave in the elevator.
