Chapter 14

Adrian sits and waits for his father to get home with the fights for tomorrow. His dad comes home and goes to bed immediately giving Adrian no words. In the morning his father opens the door. "I feel like you understand the lesson you have done exactly what I've told you to do. So to keep you well behaved I have decided to take you out of school and make you a fighter full time." Adrian can't believe it his dad is taking him out of school. "Now lets get you bandaged up so you can fight today." His father helps him up and walks him to the bathroom. "Take a shower, clean up,and eat something. I am going down early to make sure everything is set." Adrian turns on the water and gets into a hot shower. He can't believe it now Alex will call the police on them so after he gets out of the shower he decides to write Alex a note and drop it off in her mail box. 'Dear Alex, its me Adrian I have a fight tonight around six at the ring. I am sorry but my dad took me out of school. I hope we can see each other soon.' As he starts to run to the ring he drops off the letter in her mail box. It is one in the afternoon meaning his dad woke him up late to give him sleep for the fight. He trained up for the fight for about two hours. His body felt amazing and stronger and yet he feels like he has no chance tonight. As he gets to the ring he can only think a out Alex and how upset she probably is. Adrian kills two hours by watching the other fights and drinking water. Then it's his turn in the ring and he's immediately shoved into the ring by his dad. Tonight he is going to fight his dad after his two fights in the ring. The fights fly by and Adrian wins both and everyone at the warehouse parts as he comes out of the ring. His knuckles are covered in blood and his whole body is covered in bruises he has nail scratches down his arm. When he reaches his dad he shoves him against the wall and holds him there. "Alex is my girlfriend. You can't stop me from being with her! I'll fight for you but I am not a piece of trash you can throw away!" His dad smiles and laughs. "You'll get her killed just like your mother." Adrian snaps every single fiber of his being is screaming for him to hit his dad. He punches his dad in the face and he hits the floor. Adrian sits on top of him and keeps on punching and punching until a few people pull him off. "You killed her not me! You are the piece of shit!" Adrian is released and he walks to the table he was sitting at. The man who runs the place walks over to him. "Zero! You are my hero today. Would you like a drink? It's on me my young friend."
"I'm under the drinking age, sorry but no thanks."
"Come on we are in Los Angeles. Get wild!" Adrian sees a Alex coming towards him. She gets to him and his heart rate quickens and he can't remember what he was doing. She gives him a kiss and then faces the the ring owner. "Hello my name is Victor but my friends call me Vic. Please join us in a toast in honor of your boyfriend here." She nods and gets a glass from the bar. Adrian looks at her the leans down. "Are you crazy you are under the drinking age. She kisses him again. "So are you but tonight we are celebrating your freedom." A gulps the drink down and Adrian grabs a glass and does the same. He feels the effects almost immediately whatever he was being served it was strong. He becomes dizzy then he blacks out and his mind goes blank.
10 hours later...
Adrian wakes up in a soft bed and a pink room completely confused. He sits up and realizes he's completely naked. He looks around and finds his clothes on the floor. He gets his boxers and pants put on then something hard hits him in the head. His world blurs and he hits the floor. A man leans down and stares at him. "I knew you were street trash the moment you walked in here and started talking about asking to date my daughter and here I find you in her room half naked. You are in a world of pain boy." Adrians head stops spinning and his whole body freezes he can't move to fight. The object hits him again in the arm and Adrian can feel his bone crushing from the bit. He does not want to hurt this man like he did his own father because Alex would never forgive him for it. So Adrian sits there while Alex's father beats him with something. Adrian looks at his face and its filled with fear, aggression, and insanity.
