Alex is excited but worried that Adrian wants some alone time together. When he closes the door she is completely focused. He walks over to her and kisses her. "I'm sorry. Im not mad anymore." He pulls back but hold her hands tight. "Stay with me tonight. I don't want my mom to freak out about my night terrors. I love you Alex." He smiles then sits on the bed with her sitting next to him. Adrian leans back and Alex lays her head down on his chest. She can hear his breath entering and leaving his body, it was hypnotic. She falls asleep on his chest. Alex wakes up in the middle of the night, she gets up slowly and goes into the kitchen to get a drink of water. "Are you leaving?"
"Jesus! Do you always stay up in the middle of the night?"
"Yes because when I sleep I wake up to my own screams."
"Why do you scream?"
"I've screamed from the the night after the fire till now. I probably won't ever sleep the same." Alex is shocked that she had the same problem as Adrian, except his was worse. "I'm sorry you don't get to sleep at night." At that moment a scream echos through the apartment. Alex runs to the room, she see's Adrian curled up in a ball on the bed. Alex sits down next to him and holds his hand. "He needs to see a specialist."
"He has. They say he has PTSD. He has medicine but we both sort of just fell asleep."
"You did."
"What do you mean?"
"He was up until about an hour ago."
They both sat there for a while. Adrians mom leaves and Alex lays down by Adrian. "He's tough on the outside but on the inside he's broken." His mother says before she left. Alex can see what she means then Alex falls asleep again.
