Chapter 25

School has ended and summer is dragging. Being with Adrian is like heaven when Alex is at the apartment. Besides having to go home some times Alex is always over at Adrians. Today Adrian, his mother, and Alex are planning to rent a movie. Adrian and Alex are in adrians room kissing. Alex loves kissing Adrian. It feels like every fiber of them becomes one for a moment. Adrian pulls back a little. "I have to go get the stuff for the movie tonight."
"Why?"
"Because I am a very nice son/ boyfriend who is going to go get a few things so we can hang out tonight."
"Hurry back"
"Okay" Adrian leans in and kisses Alex before he leaves the apartment. Alex walks out into living room and sits down on the couch. Adrian's mom comes in and sits down on the couch. Alex hears a knock on the door. She starts to get up. "I got it." Adrians mom gets up and walks to the door. Alex turns the TV on and looks at it. Adrian's mom opens the door. Then Alex hears a large bang. A very familiar noise to her. She quickly gets up and runs to the hallway that leads to the door. There are three men standing there. The man in front is holding a smoking gun. Alex looks down and see's adrians mom on the floor with a hole in her forehead. Alex couldn't believe it. She heard a scream that she knew was her own. She couldn't think all she could do was run. She ran straight into adrians room and locks the door. She hears banging on the door. Alex quickly climbs into the closet. She pulls out her phone. Last month Adrian got a phone. Alex quickly dials his number. "I'm sorry but the number that you have dialed does not have a voicemail set up yet. Please try again later." Alex hangs up and throws the phone across the closet. "Adrian please come home." Alex says as she hears the door burst open.
