Caught Unaware

While sitting in the underground room next to Yasuho, you let out a small sigh. You had spent the last few minutes thinking about the easiest way to explain everything else to her. You'd also probably need to spend some time figuring out what exactly her Stand could do. Yasuho still didn't quite get that she even had a Stand of her own.

You sat up a tad straighter when Valentine appeared before you again.

"What is it?" You asked mentally, not wanting to wake up the sleeping Yasuho.

Valentine followed suit, "Well, Dio asked me to get you to switch back to him since it's still his day."

"Oh, right." You had almost forgotten that you'd agreed to switch him back. You unzipped Valentine's torso, took out the gloves, and your Stand returned to its base form.

You were getting ready to put the scarf in when you felt something quickly wrap around your face and then pull you back. Your head slammed against the edge of the desk in the corner of the room. While a tad disoriented from the sudden blow to the head, you could see a guy with dark hair staring down at you. He was wearing a laurel wreath on his head and had spikes all over his sleeves and pants. He seemed to be trying to suffocate you with some sort of transparent film.

You slowly sat back up, now clearly seeing that the man was holding your scarf, gloves, and ring. The rest of your usable items were back at your room in the Higashikata house. You didn't really carry all of them around at the same time anymore. Although, even if you had, the man probably would've just taken all of them. He seemed to have a decent idea of what he was doing.

While his expression was initially cold, it gained a hint of confusion. "Why aren't you struggling?"

You grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil off the ground. Since you couldn't speak with no air, you wrote out, 'I can hold my breath for a long time. And it's better if I think rationally when attacked instead of freaking out, no?'

You were fine with just 'talking' with the guy instead of having a full on fight. If he thought you weren't a threat, perhaps he'd just tell you any useful information rather than you needing to beat it out of him. You doubted he had an ability that could kill you, and you were confident enough that you could take care of him if need be. Your base Stand wasn't particularly strong, but it could at least serve as an extra distraction if you started attacking him with your blood.

Your main concern was Yasuho's safety. Well, that and making sure he didn't damage your items in any way. You didn't currently have access to someone that could restore them. Although, at your request, the SPW Foundation was keeping an eye out for any Stands that could.

The man let out an intrigued hum as he crouched down in front of you. "You're an odd one, aren't you?" He placed his chin in the palm of one hand as he watched you try to tug at the film around your head. "It won't remove that easily." His eyes moved to the pencil in your hand. "You won't be able to poke or cut through it, either."

You had already figured out that much. There was a small gash on the back of your head from when he hit it against the desk. You had already tried stabbing through the film with your blood to no avail. Although, you could manage to make the blood slip out of it by making it cut down the back of your neck.

Yasuho continued to snore softly a few feet away. She was completely unaware of what was going on beside her. She must've really been exhausted.

You brought the pencil back down to the paper in your hands, writing, 'Who are you?'

The man stared at the words, not answering right away. Part of him was curious to see just how long it would take before you did start to freak out. You couldn't possibly hold your breath forever. "Well, I suppose I should introduce myself. We've been watching and learning about you guys this whole time... and we're gonna keep watching you."
