The Ludicrous Escapade Pt.4

Citrus City

You and Gappy walked up behind Nijimura. Her body tensed at the sound of your footsteps. Thinking quickly, she took out a pen and tossed it at Gappy the second she turned around. The cap of the pen slipped off right as it touched his hand.

The motorcycle Stand took form directly above him. Rather than trying to run again, Gappy used Soft & Wet to punch her in the face. "Who are you really?! Whose orders are you under?! Was it Norisuke Higashikata?!"

"If you go to where Holly Joestar is... I'll kill you. Even if those Higashikata family people follow you there, I swear I'll kill them." She started pushing herself up off the ground but stopped when the barrel of a gun was held in front of her face.

"Don't move." Ordered Narancia, the one wielding the weapon. He twisted his face to try and appear threatening but it wasn't very effective.

"Nara..." Your tone of voice was disapproving. You wanted to at least try talking it out first.

"What? But it's not even loaded." Realizing he had just said that out loud, he pursed his lips into a fine line. "Uh... I mean... Nevermind." He put the gun into the front his pants, the way Mista used to. He then floated back over to your side while pouting.

So, instead, Gappy grabbed her by the collar. "What's your objective?!" His eyes widened when he saw the star shaped birthmark near her neck. "Who are you...? It's in the same place as mine."

"She's a Joestar." You got Gappy to let go of her. "Holly's daughter, Kei. Based on what she said, the Higashikatas are her enemy and she attacked you of her own volition." You turned to Kei, now trying to better convey the situation from your end of things. "You might not trust me, but I would still like to say that we have no intention of harming your mother. We just wanted to ask her a few questions about Gappy. See if there's anything she would know to help determine his identity."

The rage in her eyes slowly subsided, mostly due to the fact that she wanted to believe you. Kei knew who you were. Stories had been passed down the family of the immortal lady who had raced side by side with Johnny Joestar. Despite the photographic evidence, it had still always seemed like a strange legend of sorts. Yet here you were standing right in front of her.

"Let's just go, (Y/N)." Gappy began walking away. "If it stresses her out that much we can just find a different way to try and learn more about me."

"Wait..." Kei meekly called out, having settled within herself to try and help. "Turn back this way. Let me see. Stick out your tongue." She stuck out her own as she approached him, encouraging him to follow suit. "I thought you were an enemy, but... I guess you really didn't know about me, Josuke... that I was Holly's daughter." She moved her face even closer to his own, trying to confirm something. "Yeah, I knew it. There's definitely a connecting seam. Four eyeballs and two tongues."

You, too, had noticed the vertical split along his eyes, as if a fusion of some nature had occurred. The surfer had also said Gappy felt like only half Yoshikage. But Kei clearly knew more than that. She appeared to already have knowledge of whatever may have caused the current phenomenon.

"So, who am I?" That was all Gappy wanted to know at the moment.

"The Higashikata family has secrets." Started Kei. "In order to find those secrets and protect my mother, I infiltrated that house as Nijimura the maid. The only living members of the Kira family are my mother and I."

"No, that's not what I asked you!" He was starting to get a little annoyed. "The question I want you to answer is who am I?!"

"Don't forget..." She kept her voice calm. "You've been taken in by that man Norisuke in order to be watched over by the Higashikata family. That family's secrets are important. We've got to move to a different place. I can't explain here." She needed a more specific location to give a proper presentation.
