You spotted Diego sitting on a park bench. "So, what's the plan?" You leaned on the backrest and peered over his shoulder.

"Well," He took out his phone, having gotten pretty accustomed to using it already. He clicked on one of the apps. "I bought tickets to see this pirate movie. It's in color and in 3D. The main actor's name also happens to be Johnny, so I thought that was an interesting coincidence."

"That sounds fun." Though you were debating whether to tell him that it was actually the fourth movie in a series. Eh, it'd probably be fine.

The two of you made it to the movie theatre without issue. It was when you were waiting in line for popcorn that you heard an all too familiar voice.

Joshu turned you around. "Wow, I didn't expect to bump into you here, (Y/N)!" His dad was nowhere in sight, so he saw no need to behave any differently from usual.

"Weren't you going to some idol meet up thing? Why are you here?" Your tone of voice made it clear you wanted nothing to do with him.

But Joshu excelled at ignoring such signals. He rubbed the underside of his nose while smiling to himself. "I ended up making some good money, so I thought I'd treat myself." As in, he had stolen a dude's wallet and used the guy's card at an ATM to get a bunch of cash. "If you sit next to me, I'll pay for the snacks." He was feeling a little generous.

"And who exactly are you?" Diego was already getting annoyed by the Higashikata's presence.

"Joshu. Not that it's any of your business." He stepped a little closer to the vampire and puffed out his chest.

You offered your own introduction for the guy. "Think Anasui, but with worse hair."

"Ah, I see. Why don't you bugger off, Joshu." Having reached the concessions counter, Diego then ordered some popcorn. Just to annoy the guy, Diego put an arm around you as you picked up the popcorn bucket.

Joshu was seething mad. "Hey, you can't just touch her like that."

"Why not?" You leaned into Diego's hold. "He is my boyfriend, after all." The lie might not get Joshu to stop completely, but maybe it'd quiet him down a smidge.

"...huh?! But you- but we-" The gears of his mind started turning. "You're just messing with me again, aren't you? Why would you settle for some pretty boy like him?"

"Does true love need a reason?" Diego moved to hold you from behind, his voice taking on a dramatic flair. "My heart yearns for her just as the night sky longs for the stars."

You shifted the popcorn bucket to one arm and used your free hand to cup Diego's face. "In the tapestry of my life, he is the thread that binds it together."

Joshu felt just about ready to vomit with how lovey dovey you were being. He stormed off toward the bathrooms.

"That went... surprisingly well." You moved to be standing at Diego's side again. "Thanks for the help."

You were handed two pairs of 3D glasses as Diego was given the physical version of his tickets.

"Of course." The vampire rested his chin in his hand. "Though I'm not sure if he entirely got the memo. If we run into him again, we might need to resort to the same tactics we used on Valentine."
