Finally giving the last exam, I'm heading home

Finally giving the last exam, I'm heading home. It's a relief knowing that this stressing era is over.

Now a week in Italy, as our final trip, as a class, before that, two weeks of internship and then we will receive our results and with that our school career comes to an end.

How quick this was! Like it feels just like a few weeks ago that I started my last year of A-Levels but here I'm done with all my exams.

By the way, I decided to do my internship at Aapi's office, because of various reasons. One of them being that my boss would be my sister and even if she scolded me around, I won't cry.

That is an important point, because I can't bear someone raising their voice at me. Automatically, tears start gathering at the end of my eyes and I can't control them, if they continue scolding me or raising their voice.

Another reason is that I know that Aapi needs help as she has many patients lastly and her schedule is even tighter than before, so I would help.

Extra point is, I know the surroundings and how the things work there, so it's easy to adjust. Last autumn break, I was getting too bored and decided to help out there and so I know about mostly everything. Being a therapist is really a tough job.

The teacher had mentioned, not doing an internship at your parents job place, but never mentioned your siblings, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Either ways, he already approved of it, if he didn't see the same surname, then I'm not at fault. Aaliyah and Ekram Malik should ring a bell, no?

Arriving home I got under the shower, needing a relaxing and soothing one.

I took my time and did some self care too. I don't know but there is this feeling for today that I can't place.

I brush it off, because I think that it was because of the exam, but normally if it would be because of the exam it would have gone by now.

Coming out and praying Asr, I started packing my suitcase. After all, I'm going to get busy at Aapi's workplace and won't have the time to pack.

I packed all the necessary things and kept a purse with the one I would need urgently, or on a regular basis.

"Aaliyah, do you know by chance about Ouahib being sick, or not coming?" The teacher asked me, as we were all seated in the bus and there was no trace of Ouahib.

Why isn't he coming? Did something happen that is complicating his arrival? An accident maybe? No Allah! AstaghfiruAllah, what am I even thinking?

"No, I don't know." I replied as clueless about his disappearance, as the teacher.

"You did the partner project together, so you have his number, right?" He then asked, a flicker of hope in his voice.
