I hold my wife's hand, as we're heading to the office. Her face is still the same shade since the morning.
After we woke up and had breakfast, I couldn't hold it back anymore and told her everything I knew. I hated the fact that there was something bothering me and her at the same time. On top of that, it affected our relationship.
My blood is boiling at this point, due to someone's wrongdoings. I knew the moment he looked that disgustingly at her in the library, that he was a jerk. I decided to dig more precisely about the second unknown number and my doubts were cleared.
Additionally, when Aaliyah told me about his sick personality it just confirmed that the second number was his. Why are these two crack-heads after our peaceful life?
I turn the steering wheel to the right and the huge office building comes into view. I drive straight to my parking lot and park the car. Aaliyah is still distracted but was adamant about still attending this lunch with the two.
I have plans of ripping off his head from his neck, but I don't want to go to hell because of that moron.
I've contacted the lawyer of the firm and he's filing a few complaints against the two.
I unbuckle my seatbelt and turn to Aaliyah doing the same for her. She lets out a heavy sigh and I see tears brimming at the corner of her eyes, which are already so puffy from the crying from yesterday and today morning.
Well, mine aren't better either, but the pain in her eyes is killing me. I encircle her petite body and scoop her up into my lap. She instantly puts her head on my chest and hugs me tighter.
I pat her head and rub her back soothingly. "I just want to know why they're still after us. If they deny it, we'll leave, okay? Please, don't waste your energy on him?" She pleads quietly.
There we go. I was planning on marking his face with my fingerprints and a few colorful doodles, but I'm dropping the idea.
"Okay, baby. I'm not going to waste my energy on him." I promise her and she looks up smiling faintly.
I give her a reassuring smile of my own and peck her nose. She giggles softly and I proceed to peck her lips. "Okay, let's get moving and get this behind us." She says quickly after she straightened her posture.
She returns to the passenger seat and adjusts her hijab in the mirror. Meanwhile, I decend the car and come to her side, opening the door for her.
I give her my hand and she elegantly takes it and exists the car like a queen she is. I smile widely at her antics and bow down, playing along.
She giggles and I step forward to encircle her waist and close the door. We walk towards the entrance and go straight to my office, where I check up on the procedures of the new collection with the head-manager. Aaliyah takes a seat on the couch and starts reading her novel.
