NOVEMBER HAD FLOWN by and before everyone knew it Christmas was coming. One morning in mid- December, Hogwarts woke to find itself covered in several feet of snow.
The lake froze solid and the Weasley twins were punished for bewitching several snowballs so that they followed Quirrell around, bouncing off the back of his turban.
Mia, Angelina, Katie, and Alicia were walking towards the Great Hall as the three listened to the latter babble on about her mother's cooking.
Mia tried to listen, but she couldn't help but think about the countless Christmas' that her and Harry spent with the Dursleys, cooking their food. The sister was glad that they didn't have to go back for the holidays, which left Petunia to make her own food.
"Hey, what's that face for?" Angelina asked Mia, who shrugged. "What, did you think we would forget you?"
"What do you mean?" Mia glanced between the three, who wore innocent smiles. Katie grinned, shrugging "I don't know, maybe just look under the tree on Christmas morning."
"W-What? You guys didn't have to get me anything?"
"Are you kidding!" Alicia scoffed, crossing her arms "We missed out on your birthday, we weren't gonna leave you with nothing on Christmas."
Angelina nodded, before giving Mia a smirk "Besides, I wasn't gonna leave you alone. I told the twins to stay close to you."
Mia let out a groan as she hung her head, but before she could say anything someone called out, "Mia!"
The teen turned around to see Holly jogging towards her, along with an older boy.
Mia turned back towards her friends, giving them a nod "You guys go ahead. I'll meet you there." When Mia turned to face Holly, she grunted when a force collided into her.
"Geez, sis. Knock her down to the bloody floor."
Mia looked up, meeting startling grey eyes making Mia quickly looked away as she started to blush. Holly let go Mia, turning towards the boy with a glare as she punched him on the shoulder "Shut up, Ced."
Holly turned her head back to Mia with a bright smile, "I am so glad I caught you. I've been meaning to say hi, but you know how everything is-" The dark blonde haired girl was interrupted by a cough, which made Holly scowl.
"Sorry," Holly gestured towards the boy behind her, "This is my daft brother, Cedric. This is Mia, Ced."
Mia was greeted with a charming smile as Cedric held out his hand, "Nice to meet the witch that holds my sister's heart." Mia's face grew even more red as she shook the boy's hand. "Nice to meet you too."
