Vernon stayed true to his word.

He had paid a man to install bars over their bedroom window. He had padlocked the bedroom door, along with a fitted cat flap so that only small amounts of food could be pushed inside.

They were of course considerate enough to let the siblings out to use the bathroom morning and evening. Otherwise, they were locked in their room around the clock.

That was three days ago, and the Dursleys were showing no sign of relenting. Mia was on her bed as she looked through the photos in the album. She was focused on a photo of her father, and three young boys. Mia was barely able to read the chicken scratch on the back of it.

"How's your eye?"

The teen girl looked up from the album, meeting her brother's gaze. Mia rolled her eyes, which hurt but she wasn't going to admit that to Harry "I answered you an hour ago."

When Vernon was installing the lock on their door, Mia had picked a fight with him. She earned a black eye.

Harry opened his mouth, but stopped when footsteps were coming towards the door. Aunt Petunia's hand pushed through the cat flap, setting a bowl of tinned soup into the room. Then another one.

Harry jumped up from his bed, rushing towards the bowls. "Drink mine." Mia told him, turning her attention back to the album.

"Mia, you haven't ate anything all day." Harry told his sister, holding the bowl of soup towards Mia. "You need to eat it."

"I'm fine, Haz. I'm not hungry." She was.

The next photo that caught Mia's attention was a photo of her mother's thirteenth birthday. The daughter had realized that the photo album belonged to her mother, considering there were photos of her mother's childhood at the start.

Hazel eyes widened, glancing between the photo and her brother. Mia cursed, rushing off her bed before lifting it up to dig under it. "Uh, Mia?"

Mia cheered as she grabbed the box that she had stuffed under her bed. The teen turned around, holding the box out towards Harry, who stared at it. Mia sighed, "Go on, open it. I didn't forget about your birthday."

Harry gave her a look of surprise, biting his lip as he opened the box. A gasp left Harry as he took the snitch out of the box. "H-How? It has my initials."
