Mia was quick enough to cover Harry's mouth, before the boy let out a shout. It was a house elf, Mia realized as the little creature stared at the siblings with its big green eyes.

The room was silent as they heard voices from downstairs then the elf slipped off Harry's bed and bowed at the children. "Um, hello?" Mia greeted, carefully.

"Euphemia Potter!" the elf shrieked, gazing up at the teen girl before gazing towards her brother. "Harry Potter! So long has Dobby wanted to meet you, such an honor it is."

"Th-thank you," said Harry, who was edging towards the desk while Mia took a seat on her bed.

The twelve year old looked at his sister, seeing that she wasn't nearly as freaked out as he was so the boy gave her a look. Mia waved her brother off, turning towards the elf "What's your name?"

"Dobby, miss. Just Dobby. Dobby the house elf."

"Well, Dobby, I don't want to be rude or anything," Harry said, "but this isn't a great time for us to have a house elf in our bedroom."

Mia shot her brother a glare when the elf hung his head. The last thing they needed was an emotional house elf on their hands. "Not that we're not pleased to meet you, but is there any reason as to why you're here?"

"Oh, yes, yes." Dobby told her, earnestly. "Dobby has come to tell you both...it is difficult. Dobby wonders where to begin..."

"Sit down," Harry offered, gesturing towards his bed.

To their horror, the elf burst into tears - very noisy tears.

"S-Sit down!" he wailed. "Never, never ever..."

"I'm sorry," Harry whispered, trying to comfort the poor creature "I didn't mean to offend you or anything."

"Offend Dobby!" the elf choked out, like it was ridiculous to even say such a thing. "Dobby has never been asked to sit down by a wizard, like an equal." The siblings tried their best to calm the elf down and quickly before Vernon was to make his way up here.

Dobby was seated on Harry's bed, sniffling and hiccuping as he looked up at the siblings in complete adoration. Mia gave the elf a small smile, "You haven't had very good wizards, have you?"

Dobby shook his head. Then, without warning, he leapt up and started banging his head furiously on the window, shouting "Bad Dobby! Bad Dobby!" The siblings shot up from their seats, pulling the elf away. Harry gave his sister a glare as if to say that this was her fault.
