In a blink of an eye, the summer holidays had ended before the children had knew it. The Potter siblings were looking forward to getting back to Hogwarts, but their month at the Burrow had been the happiest of their lives.
The older sister had tried to ignore the uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach, every time she thought of returning to the Dursleys next summer.
The morning of September first was one of chaos. Everyone was up at dawn, but somehow they still seemed to have a great deal to do. Mrs.Weasley dashed about in a bad mood looking for spare socks and quills, people kept colliding on the stairs, half-dressed with bits of toast in their hands, and Mr. Weasley nearly broke his neck, tripping over a stray chicken as he crossed the yard carrying Ginny's trunk to the car.
When at last they were all in the car, Mrs.Weasley glanced at the bank seat, where all five boys were all sitting comfortably side by side, and said, "Muggles do know more than we give them credit for, don't they?" She, Ginny, and Mia were in the front seat, which had been stretched to fit them. "I mean, you'd never know it was this roomy from the outside, would you?"
Mia gave Moon a squeeze as she glanced back at the Burrow, wondering if she ever see it again when George had yelled that he had forgotten his box of Filibuster fireworks, then Fred forgot something, then Ginny.
Thankfully, the family and siblings had made it to King's Cross just in time. The clock clicked closer to eleven as they hurried towards the barrier.
Mia checked that Moon was placed firmly on her trolley before crossing the barrier, the teen was so nervous to see everyone that her stomach was queasy.
Mia glanced down at Moon, whose blue eyes contrasted against the light green fur. "What the bloody hell do I tell the girls?" Mia whispered to her cat, "Hm? They're going to laugh in my face and never speak to me again."
"Is he supposed to respond?"
A giant smile crossed Mia's face as she turned to Holly, whose attention was stuck on the green cat. "No, but I like to think he's wiser than I am." Holly opened her mouth to reply, but she was cut off by loud whistle
"Blimey!" Holly squealed, "We need to get on the train!" The two girls quickly rushed onto the train and settled into a compartment.
Mia plopped down on the seat just as the train started to move, she turned to Holly, who had Moon in her lap. "Don't worry the color isn't permanent, the twins said that it should wash off in a month."
Holly let out a fake gasp, covering Moon's ears before she cuddled him closer "Don't listen to the mean girl, Moony. I think you look handsome."
Mia rolled her eyes at Holly's words, knowing that her cat had big enough ego as it is when Moon caught Mia's attention, or well his body did.
