A BREATH OF RELIEF left Mia as she walked out onto the grounds. Mia had just finished with her last exam and she couldn't be happier. McGonagall had to move her schedule around since she was a second year taking the exams.
The thirteen year old wandered down to the lake to see the Weasley twins and Lee were messing with the Giant Squid and Angie, Alicia, Katie were near by under a tree. Mia paused her steps, with a slight frown as she watched her friends. She hasn't had the time to actually talk to them so she didn't know if they hated her like everyone else.
"Mia!"
Mia barely had time to brace herself when Alicia collided into her. Then they were running back to the tree so fast that Mia thought her feet were going to cave. Alicia crashed onto the ground which left Mia standing in front of her friends, panting.
"Merlin, Al!" Katie scolded, "Are you trying to kill her?"
Alicia shrugged, waving up at Mia "It's not my fault she was standing there like a deer caught in-" The teen girl paused, brows scrunching in confusion "What's that thing, you say, Kate?"
The Muggle born rolled her eyes, "Deer caught in headlights. It's a term of expression, you Pure-Blood oaf."
"I-I'm fine." Mia said, red in the face "It's just like I didn't think you guys would want me around." Her dorm mates stared up at her like she was talking rubbish. Angelina sat up, grabbing Mia's wrist before pulling her down "Don't be daft, Mia! Why would you think that?"
The Potter girl glanced at her friends in confusion, "Gryffindor lost the house cup because of me. Why aren't you guys mad like everyone else?" Alicia shrugged, her mouth pulling into a frown "Well, we were mad-ow, Katie!"
Alicia rubbed her shoulder, glaring at the blonde next to her. Angie rolled her eyes, then gained Mia's attention. "What we are trying to say is that we don't care about the stupid house cup, okay? We care about you because you are our friend."
Mia nodded, her eyes becoming wet as Angie pulled her into a hug. The girls pulled away just as Alicia groaned, standing up from the group. "Alright, I'm not one for sappy rubbish so I think I'm gonna try to push one of the boys into the lake."
Mia took Alicia's spot between the girls, who watched their friend try to be sneaky. "So, how was exams?" Mia turned her head towards Katie, giving her a small smile "It was bloody brutal, but I think I passed."
"If I don't have you with me next year, I will bribe McG."
The two second years busted out laughing, imagining Professor McGonagall's face. When the two girls finally calmed down, Mia glanced at the lake to see a ball of white running for its life.
