Chapter 10: Breakfast

Tom, Sonic, and Shadow walk into the kitchen to see breakfast on the table, "You three are just in time everything is ready." Sonic looks at the pancakes and bacon that is on the table drooling, "Might want to wipe you mouth if I were you there is saliva hanging from your lips." Sonic looks down wiping the slobber from his mouth embarrassed. Tom looks over at his son, "Hey buddy how about you go sit down and serve yourself a plate?" Sonic sits next to Shadow at the table with the rest of the gang, "That looks amazing!" Sonic says licking his lips while looking at his plate that has three pancakes with bacon on the side, "Sonic remember..." Shadow tells him as Sonic ignores his warning by eating his food off of his plate at a fast pace, "Wow that was so good! Can I go for seconds please?" he says accidentally letting out a burp, "Excuse me." Tails looks at his friend, "Whoa you ate that pretty fast!" Shadow face palms his head, "Portion control." Sonic feels ashamed, "I'm sorry ever since becoming a werewolf or werehog whatever you call it my appetite increased." Shadow let's it slide, "Well it's only fair if I join you." he tells Sonic snickering as he grabs his plate to put three more pancakes on it, "Here you go." Sonic looks at Shadow smiling, "Thanks Shadow." Shadow shows his gratitude with a smile back as he gets up to get himself more pancakes, "I hope his family don't find it weird that he's eating everything in sight" he thinks to himself. Tails and Knuckles eat their food as Tom looks at his son, "Hey buddy I don't want you eating too fast you don't want to get sick." Sonic finishes his plate drinking his water afterwards, "Wow that was really good! I'm gonna go for thirds." Knuckles encourages, "I wouldn't just to not make yourself pop." Sonic chuckles, "No not to the point to where I pop just to where I'm full and I'm starting to get full now I did eat six pancakes." he gets up from his chair to clean his dishes off while Shadow finishes his plate of seconds, "Sonic wait for me." he goes after Sonic so he can talk to him, "Hey are you okay? You can talk to me." Sonic feels embarrassed, "I think it's because we were onto him for going for seconds pretty sure he didn't like when I said to not make yourself pop." Knuckles whispers to everyone at the table, "Well you weren't saying it in a mean way." Jojo tells Knuckles as he starts feeling guilty, "Wow now thinking about it I could've been somewhat nicer about it and everything that has happened is hard for him to process." Sonic and Shadow overhear their conversation due to their hearing as Sonic storms off, "Sonic wait up!" Shadow tells him running after him Tom looks to see the two running off as he gets up to go after them.
