Chapter 16: Shadow vs Sonic

Shadow stands directly across from Sonic full of anger. Sonic puts his leg into a starting line position like he's in a race as Shadow gets a head start charging towards as Sonic uses his super speed punching the ultimate life form across the room shocking the others, "Whoa! Tails we need to go and find Robotnik." Tails looks at the duo fighting and starts running towards Eggman's room to confront him. Back at the house, Randall and Maddie run outside with Randall's car keys, "Wes are taking my car since we can't find your car keys for some reason." Maddie stops walking fast for a moment, "No...those boys..." Randall looks at Maddie and sees her upset, "We will get it replaced and from the looks of it they are going to be grounded once this is all over." Maddie looks at him confirming his question, "Yeah you're right. Right now we need to find them and bring the four of them home." The two get in the car to find the boys at Robotnik's hideout. Back at the lab, Tails and Knuckles are running far away from the fight, "It should be here." Tails says running out of breath. After taking a deep breath, Tails starts flying to see if there are any security cameras, "There is a couple of security cameras ahead along with robots guards standing near the doors. We should be able to sneak up and take them down in order to get through. It's going to be harder since Sonic is back to normal and has his speed again." Knuckles agrees with Tails as they head to the main entrance. Shadow punches Sonic has hard has he can across the face sending him flying landing on his two feet not phased, "How did you end up back to normal?" Shadow asked confused with anger, "Shadow the hedgehog did you really think Doctor Robotnik was going to let me stay like a monster forever?" he says pointing out Shadow's appearance, "Look at you. No one would be able to look at you the same ever again because you're a monster like I was until the doctor and Agent Stone helped me find a cure. Join me and you will find a cure for yourself once you take the cure it would be like none of this ever happened." Shadow thinks about Sonic's offer and declines, "I can't not if it's involving Robotnik." Sonic starts to get angry, "If that's the way you want it...so be it." Sonic's about to run towards Shadow until Randall and Maddie drive through the door breaking it down sending Sonic flying through the wall, "Ow!! That hurt!!" muffling through the rumble. Randall and Maddie exit the car, "Man Randall that was a lot." She stops to see Shadow hurt, "Oh my goodness! Shadow are you all right?" Shadow gets up with some injuries but shakes it off, "I'm fine but Sonic is cured and is under some kind of mind control Agent Stone and Doctor Robotnik put him under. I have to find Tails and Knuckles they went to the Doctor's main room to confront him." Randall tells Shadow, "Then we follow them in order for none of them to get hurt come on!" The two run to the main room to find Knuckles and Tails but see all the dead robots on the ground, "Thank goodness you boys are all right!" Maddie hugs her sons, "Don't ever do that again especially if your dad tells you to do something!" the reunion is interrupted by Sonic, "So you care more about them than me huh mom?" Randall convinces Sonic, "No! She loves you too please remember us!" Sonic is about to walk towards Randall until Robotnik appears, "Stand down hedgehog I will handle this." he tells the blue blur on his flying machine, "You have served me well" Sonic starts to give an evil smile, "Too bad the serum is wearing off.." he shoots Sonic with a needle that makes him fall asleep and throws a sleeping gas towards the others, "Stone give Shadow the cure and don't give him the mind control serum. Give him the cure we will see if he is able to withstand what we are going to do to him and the others."
