Chapter 17: Trapped

Sonic and Shadow wake up in a cell while Randall and the others are in a separate one. Sonic sees them, "Mom? Where are we?" Maddie is about to answer until Shadow interrupts her, "We are in a cell that the doctor is keeping us in." Sonic is about to answer back until Robotnik comes in, "Enjoy your little nap you two?" He says with a bitter look on his face as Shadow tells him, "What did you do to me and Sonic?" The doctor answers, "Don't you get it? I cured the both of you just like I told that idiot sheriff I would do whenever I got the chance." The two look at the doctor as he continues, "It was really easy you know the first time the blue one turned I thought to have some of his power as well as make him back to normal in his weak state. But then I thought how to lure all of you in." Tails and Knuckles wake up to see the doctor, "Good your up! Rise and shine everyone!" Randall and Maddie wake up to see Tails and Knuckles, "You boys okay?" Tails tells his mom, "Yeah but we're trapped." The doctor gets irritated, "I'm the adult here no one should be talking!" Tails stays silent, "Thank you." Eggman says taking a deep breath, "Now where was I? Oh yes well I infected Shadow on purpose to take Sonic down not infect him then I realized it was a good thing because he almost took down all of you but I wanted to get back at you all for how many times I've lost!" Sonic laughs, "Seriously? We always beat you and will do so again once Shadow and I get out of here." Robotnik laughs, "Agent Stone? Get the robot working we are going to take over Green Hills." Agent Stone says on the overhead, "Right away Doctor." Agent Stone presses the button to turn on the machine as Robotnik flys up to get to his robot leaving Sonic and his friends behind. Sonic walks back and forth feeling guilty, "Man I let Eggman control me and now he's going to take over Green Hills this is all my fault!" he says aggressively sitting on the floor, "Sonic this isn't even the slightest your fault it's mine. I fell for Eggman's trick and I got infected and turned into a werewolf and got you infected in the process. If I had better control of myself none of this would've happened I deserve to stay like that forever." Sonic puts his hand on Shadow's shoulder, "No whatever happens I'm on your side and besides we will make Robotnik pay and save Green Hills you in?" Shadow smiles, "Then it's settled now we just gotta find a way out of here..." Tails chimes in, "Well I hate to interrupt your emotional conversation but I happen to have a lock that is able to break us all out of here so I'm just going to turn this...." Tails turns the lock left to unlock the door successfully getting it open, "Now just wait there guys.." Sonic and Shadow smile. As they all exit out of their cells, everyone runs back to Randall and Maddie's car, "Alright everyone put your seat belts on and hang on! This is going to be a bumpy ride!" Randall advises everyone, "Alright we gotta find out where Eggman so we can save the town." Maddie looks, "You and Shadow are gonna have to work together in order for that to happen." Shadow asks, "And how are we suppose to do that?" Knuckles looks to his left to see the master emerald in the car next to him, "With this." taking it out and showing the two, "That will work! Ready to go super Shadow?" Shadow is optimistic, "Your on let's go get that doctor and stop him!" The two high five ready for the battle as they all drive out of his lab to head to the small town of Green Hills.
