Chapter 11: Sonic is Upset

Sonic opens the front door breathing uncontrollably, "Sonic man your fast I couldn't keep up." Shadow pauses looking at the back of Sonic's head, "Are you okay?" He asked concerned for his friend, "No this is all your fault." Sonic turns around mad at Shadow, "I know it is you don't think I feel guilty for it? I do! I wake up everyday thinking about what happened and you have to wake up everyday in pain after turning just like you. It's not fair and it never will be!" Sonic runs off to the hills to clear his mind. He runs into the woods past all the trees slowing down time around him, "Wow I never noticed how beautiful the woods are until now." He says intrigued. Shadow stands outside as Tom catches up, "Where's Sonic?" his dad asks worriedly as Shadow reassures him, "He went for a run to clear his mind it's what he needs." Tom worries, "I hope your right Shadow I'm going to out." Shadow asks him, "Where are you going?" Tom turns around, "I'm going to find Robotnik to have him turn you and my son back to normal." Shadow stands there sighing, "I understand you are upset but we should look for the cure ourselves since Robotnik will refuse to help us." Tom remains optimistic, "I have to try at least I will be back soon if anyone asks tell them where I'm headed." Tom goes back inside to grab this things with Shadow standing there worried about Sonic. On top of the mountains, Sonic looks at the view admiring how beautiful it is, "Wow it's so pretty I totally forgot what I was worried about." He sits for a minute getting his senses together, "I shouldn't have ran away from Shadow like that perhaps I was a little too harsh back there." he said to himself out loud. A second later his phone starts ringing he looks to see that it's Shadow, "Speak of the devil." he says as he answers his phone, "Hey Shadow what's up? Look I'm glad you called I'm really sorry that...." Shadow says on the other line, "I know but I need you to come home right away it's about Tom." Sonic heart skips a beat and freezes, "Oh no! I'm on my way!" He runs as fast as the speed of sounds all the way back home. As he approaches the house, he sees Shadow, "Where is Tom?" Shadow stands in front of Sonic, "I'm going to tell you and only you." Sonic starts to get frustrated, "Why? Everyone else deserves to know!" Shadow tells him, "They know just not you. We are going to save Tom we don't know what the doctor is planning after all this could be a trap." Sonic tells Shadow, "Alright we are going to go inside and ask the others on what we should do come on." The two walk inside to figure out how they are going to bring Tom home.
