"and you said no? cha hari, are you stupid?" chaemin lightly slapped her hand that was resting on the table she was seated at on her forehead, shaking her head disappointed at what her ears just registered while hari continued to quietly munch on her food keeping her gaze low.

the two were currently seated at the small, wooden table inside their apartment as they ate a late night snack together, a big, metallic pot resting in the middle of the surface on a trivet and a smoking hot ramen inside of it while two ceramic bowls could be found on both sides. hari was telling her about the dinner with sunghoon and his sudden proposal, and the way she answered didn't exactly please her friend.

"it just felt rushed? like we barely know eachother and he already has marriage in mind?" the brunette explained her reasoning behind the rejection as she pinched with her chopsticks a chunck of the seasoned ramen and placed it in her bowl, bringing the food to her lips before loudly slurping on it whilst the other girl massaged her temples stressed by her friend's dumbness. the marriage was obviously for the sake of the baby so that it wouldn't grow up in a separated family, and sunghoon doesn't seem like the type to blindly jump into such things without even properly knowing his supposed-to-be spouse.

"dumbass, it's obviously to not let the baby grow up in a separated family. and on top of that, the first years are the worst so you should be grateful you're getting a helping hand from the father, many would've ran away or refused to take responsibility." the pregnant girl went quiet as she reflected on her friend's words, her mind going back to what happened a few hours prior and almost wanting to get swallowed by the ground beneat her feet everytime her mind wanders back to the awkwardness around eachother after her rejection.

well, she didn't exactly reject him, she simply said that she needed some time to think about it before answering him. marriage is serious commitment to hari and she isn't sure if she's ready for such an important step in her life at her age.

hari's relationship with marriage hasn't always been the best. when she was a child, she would constantly daydream about a luxurious and elegant wedding, with a rich and handsome fiance that loved her so dearly and a sparkling wedding dress. she wished to have a love like her parents' and to go on a romantic honeymoon just like them. but things changed when she turned 16, and her newly married mother kicked her out of the house because she didn't sit right to her step-father and his bratty kids.

for now, she wants to keep marriage out of the way for as long as she can.

"yeah but you know what i think about marriage, and am i not too young to get married?" chaemin's face dropped into an expression that clearly asked her if she was being serious, hari tilting her head in a questioning manner shrugging her shoulders as the raven lowered her eyes to her lower abdomen where her small bump was slowly growing day by day. "too young for marriage but not too young to have a baby?"

"i never said i wasn't too young." the female sighed deeply at the sudden change of atmosphere that was now tense and heavy, grabbing with her chopsticks some ramen from the pot and placing it into her friend's bowl that was previously empty. "listen, i know that getting over what happened in the past isn't easy, but you shouldn't let that stop you from ever accepting a helping hand in the moment of need. i'm saying this for your own good hari."

as much as hari could deny it, chaemin is right after all. she has always struggled to put her trust into people after such event, but she does acknowledge that not many to be fathers in their situation would willingly do everything sunghoon is doing for her, so should probably stop questioning him so much and finally give him a chance.

"so you're saying i should accept his confession? i mean, he's getting married in a few weeks." the girl let out a dry and airy laugh at the mention of the marriage, taking a hold of the glass near her and chugging down some of the liquid inside of it. "don't worry too much about it, it's probably an arranged marriage."
