as sunghoon clutched the rich bouquet of flowers tightly while standing in front of the familiar door with her old apartment's number on it, his heart beating rapidly echoed in his ears as he fixed his glasses and slightly loosened the suffocating tie wrapped around his neck to take a deep breath.

after their argument from a few days ago, hari ran away and found shelter at her old apartment where minju was still living, and he hasn't heard from her ever since. she was ignoring his texts and rejecting his calls, not like he blames her after what he said to her and how he acted, so he had no way to even check on her and that worried him to the bone. the only reason he found out that she was here is because he overhead her call with her friend while running after her.

after being apart from her and getting the chance to reflect on what he's done, the boy realized just how bad he fucked up his relationship with hari over something he wasn't even a hundred percent sure about. he acted recklessly, and that's honestly not like him.

he knows that this probably won't be enough for her to forgive him, but it's better to add even one stitch to the open wound than to let it bleed.

sunghoon pressed the circular doorbell on the side of the door with his sweaty finger, taking one last deep breath before clearing his throat once he heard the door unlocking and his eyes were welcomed by minju's disgusted face. "you. what are you doing here." the girl eyed him from head to toe disgusted while crossing her arms over her chest, death glaring him with a gaze that pierced through his soul and only heightened his anxiety.

"is hari here? i need to talk to her." sunghoon tried to take a peak inside the apartment but was quickly stopped by her closing the door as much as she could, taking a glance inside to check on the said girl before sighing in annoyance. she knows what sunghoon did, hari told her everything, and in this moment all she wants to do is punch his nose for hurting her best friend, and if it was up to her, she wouldn't let him see her so easily. "wait here."

the door was closed slightly before he heard the soft, honey voice of his lover that he longed for, the entrance swinging open revealing hari with a poker face and a hand protectively on her tummy that was hugged by a tight, black, long sleeved shirt which only made it more evident, and god how much he missed resting his head on her bump and talking to the baby.

"i'm assuming you must've seen the results." his thick brows knitted at her words before he slowly began to shake his head bewildered at what she was talking about, reflecting for a moment while staring onto space before realization hit him like a truck and if they were in a cartoon a light bulb would've probably lit up above his head. right, the paternity test. he's been so caught up with work and his inability to focus the past days he completely forgot about this.

"no? i didn't even know they came back."

"oh." hari murmured as a sniff followed her words and her stern gaze softened slightly, diverting her warm orbits away from him while awkward silence enveloped the air around them, both too nervous to make the first move and break the quietness that reminded them of their first times together. she cleared her throat to grab his attention before crossing her arms over her chest and eyeing the flowers he was still holding. "so, what do you need to tell me?"

right, he was here to apologize.

sunghoon outstretched his arm to hand her the bouquet in his grasp which she stared at for a minute hesitant to accept it, and this didn't pass unnoticed by him as he pressed his lips into a thin line. "i know this isn't much, but i thought it might've done less harm than coming here empty handed." the pregnant girl reluctantly accepted the flowers and closely observed them just to notice that all of them were her favorite flowers and she almost let a smile crack her lips, quickly recomposing herself and reminding herself what she went through because of his words.

she remembers how the night after the argument she cried herself to to sleep curled into a ball on her old bed, and how until a few moments ago she was letting hot tears stream down her face. she has never cried so much in her whole life, it must be because of her moodswings, since usually she'll just brush away the need to cry.

"i'm sorry for the way i treated you, and for everything i've said. i'm not even gonna try to excuse my actions because you didn't deserve any of that, i shouldn't have been such a jerk to you over something i wasn't even sure of. and even if that baby isn't mine, i'll continue to love it just like before." his heart beat rapidly inside his ribcage as he analyzed her soft features to understand her reaction, hoping she'll forgive him even just a tiny bit and visibly panicking when she teared up at his last sentence.

"you're the father hoon." she blurted out in between her tears while sunghoon's eyes lit up once her words sank in his mind, wasting no time to hug her tightly whilst spinning her around happily and planting kisses all over her face with the widest grin spreading on his full lips.

"i'm so sorry again baby, i love you so much." he cupped her face gently and connected their foreheads before gazing into her warm orbits lovingly as their noses brushed against each other and their hot breaths mixed with one another, kissing her deeply before feeling her delicate smile interrupt the contact.

"i love you too hoon."
