leaning against his jet black car with crossed arms, sunghoon glanced at the watch on his right wrist before averting his focus on the automatic doors a few meters away from him where a group of employees was exiting the building, his eyes scanning all the figure hoping to get a sight of his lover but his previously raised brows dropped disappointingly when he couldn't recognize her.
he gazed at the hour again to double check because he knew her shift already ended since he was the one who made her schedule, and it felt confusing to him that she hasn't left yet.
he hoped that by waiting for her he could give her a ride back home and hopefully explain what happened the previous night due to him not getting the chance to. after sitting in front of their bedroom door for two hours, he simply gave up and ended up sleeping on the couch. and this morning when he woke up, she already left the house without him so he didn't get the chance to cross paths with her.
the boy looked briefly up again and finally spotted her figure quickly walking away from there, hurrying to catch up with her while outstretching his arm out to wrap his slender fingers around her wrist making her body abruptly turn towards him. "wait hari, where are you going?"
hari stared at the area his soft touch landed on before she retracted her arm from his grasp and adjusted the cardigan wrapped around her body, that hid her now evident baby bump, pushing the bag on her shoulder further up before clearing her throat with emotionless eyes. "i'm going to the bus stop." the raven sighed at the lengths hari was going to just to avoid him, sparing a glance at the car parked near them knowing she was gonna turn him down.
"listen, you don't need to take the bus just to avoid me. what about hearing me out while i drive us back home?" he smiled slightly with hopeful irises as the girl hesitated with lips pressed firmly into a thin line, pacing back and forth through her thoughts unsure if she should give him a chance to explain or continue to avoid him the way she did today.
her chest heaved up and down as she nodded her head, his eyes curving into crescent moons before he quickly guided her towards the car and opened the door for her to get inside, her lips threatening to curve into a grin at his excited actions but she managed to suppress it before he could notice.
the atmosphere between them was so thick you could cut it with a knife and the silence felt awkward and uncomfortable, hari staring at her fidgeting fingers while avoiding yo gaze in his direction as sunghoon dozed into space thinking of a way to bring up the sensitive topic without worsening the situation. he cleared his throat to grab her attention and even when her focus was on his nervous figure, he couldn't bring himself to look up at her. "i'm sorry about what happened last night. i swear i didn't kiss her, she just pulled me in and i didn't expect that at all and i couldn't push her away but i would never kiss someone else because i lo—"
his rambling of apologies was interrupted by the brunette placing her hand over his sweaty one resting over his thigh, a small, closed mouth smile cracking her full, pink-colored, kissable lips while his thick brows knitted in confusion as to why on earth was she smiling at his apology.
"i already forgave you halfway through your apology. besides, i should apologize as well." she hesitated for a moment before continuing. "i shouldn't have accused you of cheating so abruptly without even knowing what was going on."
hoon smiled at her words and finally looked into her dreamy eyes, taking the hand that was previously resting over his and intertwining their fingers slyly. "so, are we good again now?" the pregnant girl pretended to think for a moment to tease him, raising her irises as if she was thinking about it with a smile twisting her delicate features before she shrugged her shoulders playfully.
"i don't know, depends if we can get food on our way home." his grin only grew wider seeing her puppy eyes as he chuckled at her words, inserting the key inside the car and starting the engine before placing a hand on the back of her head and kissing her forehead sweetly.
"of course we can, anything for you."
