as sunghoon inserted the passcode onto his apartment's door and pushed it open, a sigh of relief slipped past his lips as soon as he stepped inside the warmth of his house before taking off his shoes and hanging his coat on the hanger beside the entrance. yet, his brows furrowed bewildered once his ears registered the sounds coming from the direction of the kitchen, soon figuring it must be his wife who came back before him.

things between them haven't been calm nor agitated, you could say their relationship was like lukewarm water at the moment, standing in the middle between calmness and possibly hanging from a single thread. even sunghoon wouldn't know how to describe their situation if asked.

the discussion from the other day was never concluded, because all he got was an open answer, since hari didn't tell him anything important. they don't avoid eachother, but they haven't sat down and cuddled since a while. it's like walking on shattered glass.

he slid his slippers on tiredly and walked towards the kitchen, running his fingers through his fluffy hair and fluttering his heavy eyelids. "baby i'm home—" his words got stuck on his tongue once his eyes landed on the feminine figure standing by the stove, halting on his steps before analyzing her closely only for his eyeballs to almost pop out of his eye sockets after noticing a different hair length and color.

"hi hoon, welcome back home!" the high pitched voice rang in his ears as takara turned around with a wooden pair of chopsticks in her hands as a pan rested over the high heat stove, a kitchen apron wrapped around her waist with a small grin cracking her lips. she ran towards him for a hug but was immediately stopped by a hand placed in front of her before she could get any closer.

"what the actual fuck are you doing in my house?! how did you even get in?" the japanese girl giggled annoyingly and headed back towards the stove, turning it off before serving the food in a plate only to be stopped by him wrapping his fingers around her arm and dragging her towards the front door.

"get the fuck out of my apartment before i call the police on you." takara pouted annoyingly and yanked her arm out of his grip before continuing to serve the food she cooked, setting the pan down once she was done and placing her hands on his broad and muscular shoulders.

"listen hoonie, i don't mean any harm so you don't have to be so harsh. why don't you calm down, and think about giving us a chance again?" she ran her fingers through the hair on his nape with a smile that irritated sunghoon to his core, pulling him closer until their noses brushed against each other and her hot breath hit his upper lip. sunghoon tried to push her away but the deathly grip on his arm restricted him from doing so, the hand on his neck only forcing his face closer to hers until their lips collided against eachother.

the sound of a bag falling to the ground grabbed their attention, his eyes widening once he managed to free himself from the kiss and snap his head towards the direction of the noise only for his irises to be met with the shocked figure of his wife standing in front of the kitchen's entrance with ajar lips. "baby it's not what you think, she—" the words got stuck on his tongue after she rushed to their shared bedroom and slammed the door shut, him beginning to run after her before he halted on his steps and turned back towards takara before outstretching his arm and pointing his finger towards the door. "get the fuck out of my apartment right now."

"but hoonie—"

"get out!" takara defeatedly collected her belongings and walked to the door with a pout, turning around one last time to face sunghoon who was staring at her with a gaze that could kill, and she took it as a sign to simply leave. but that isn't gonna be the ending.

the boy ran his fingers through his raven hair in distress and headed to the room hari locked herself in, wrapping his fingers around the doorknob and attempting to push the door open only for his efforts to go vain since the door was locked. he gently knocked on it and leaned his ear against it, heaving out a deep sigh before trying to open the door again."hari, baby, it's me. can you please open the door?"

hari remained silent from the other side, warm tears running down her cheeks while some quiet sobs escaped her mouth as her face was buried in her hands. "go away." hoon sighed deeply once more and knocked softly, her sobs feeling like a stab in the heart knowing he's the reason why she's crying in the first place.

"please hari.." he slowly slid down the door until his lower back was met with the cold floor, remaining with his ear against the wooden surface as he fidgeted with the ring around his finger that had her name engraved on it and stared at it with sad eyes.

it's all his fault.

it's all his fault
