"president park, there's someone that wants to see you outside." jungwon informed him while knocking on the slightly ajar door of the luminous office, stepping inside once sunghoon signaled him to with a look on his face that clearly told him it was an urgent matter which had the boy worried. "it's your cousin and.. your ex fiancee." the documents in his hands fell on the desk as he froze on his seat, gulping his saliva before nodding his head as a sign to let them in.

"sunghoon! long time no see you!" a tall, raven haired man greeted him warmly with a friendly smile, even if hoon knew that his intentions were everything but friendly, as the future heir pierced his gaze through his soul, leaning his back against his black leather office chair before raising his brow at him while crossing his arms over his chest.

"what do you want jaehyun." park jaehyun let out an airy and dry laugh at his attitude, heading towards his desk with an arrogant smirk on his face that sunghoon swore he would've slapped away if he could. the other carelessly threw a folder right in front of him and took a few steps back, the raven simply staring at it for a few seconds with an uninterested expression before averting his gaze to the man standing before him.

"that's your resignation letter. i suggest you take a look at it for when i'll make you lose all of this." hoon tsked at his words and pushed the papers back towards him without even sparing it a glance, chuckling at the absurdity that just left his lips and resuming his previous actions.

"and how exactly do you plan on doing that? last time i checked, to inherit this whole company you had to be married, which you clearly aren't. i'm assuming you didn't receive my wedding invitation."

jaehyun let out another laugh which made him glance at his cousin for a split second. "that's where you're wrong." the man outstretched his hand for the girl standing in a corner to hold, pulling her towards him and tilting his head towards the future heir as takara showed him a silver ring with a huge diamond on it. "we're getting married next week."

"and if i were you, i'd take a careful look at that resignation letter, since that'll be your only option when i'll reveal to everyone that you married a good-for-nothing, broke girl that you got pregnant." his muscles tensed up at the mention of his wife and the baby that nobody was supposed to know about, swallowing a lump of saliva nervously and attempting to cover his panic with a poker face.

"you think i wouldn't find out? that your wife is a girl you knocked up that has a completely different social status from you? what would people think if they found out such thing about the only son of the parks?" the park stood from his chair and slammed his hands on his work desk gazing into his cousin's eyes with so much hatred he could suffocate in it, pointing a threating finger at him while the other just chuckled at his actions.

"try to let out a single word about this and you're dead."

"oh please, you think you can scare me? who do you think will get chosen as the heir? someone that can give zero benefits to the company, or the one that has one of the biggest names in the industry on his side?" the boy went quiet at his words as he retracted his finger slightly, sinking back on his chair while reflecting on his cousin's words. he's right, as much as he doesn't wanna admit it, he has nothing on his side that would help him get the position he worked years for, probably just the fact that he's the ceo's son.

"how did you even find out about my wife?" he changed the topic and turned his swivel chair towards the glass wall behind him that gave him a view of the busy streets and enormous buildings in the city, clicking the top of a pen to keep his mind calm and firm to earth and to avoid it wandering in his worries.

"she told me, and on top of that, you think it wasn't obvious?"

"she told me, and on top of that, you think it wasn't obvious?"
