"Here's you two's room." Proteus opens the door.
"Thank you, Proteus." Marina smiles.
"I'll leave you two." Proteus closes the door.
I sit down. I let out a breath. This place is fancy. Too fancy for my taste. I'm not a prince. I'm just the son of a slave. I have no glory or anything. I'm just a man or a thief depending on whose view.
"You okay Sinbad?" Marina sits down beside me.
"Hm? Oh yeah. Totally fine." I say.
She puts her hand on my chest. I look at her.
"You can tell me anything." She smiles.
"I know." I say.
"While we're on the whole monster subject, what kind do you think it is?" She asks.
"A couple. I've seen certain sheep and livestock eating monsters. Giants, Ogres, Gorgons." I shrug.
"Heh... well whatever the monster is, we'll deal with it." She says.
I nod. I turn to the window. I stare at the open see.
"Sinbad, tell me." She wraps her arms around me.
"The sea is unsettled. I know it shouldn't bother me, but..." I start.
She pushes my face toward her.
"It's alright." She kisses me.
