"Sinbad, was that a giant?" Proteus asks.
"No. Cyclops. It only has one eye. Man, those things are disgusting." I say.
"Cyclops?" Proteus asks me.
"Yeah. One eye. Eats man and livestock." I say.
"This could be a problem. We need to report back." Proteus says.
I turn. I see broken branches and blood. I walk over. The ground it's indented. It smells foul. I feel the dirt. It feels cloggy. It feels dense. Something flattened it out. I look up. It's headed toward the mountain range of Syracuse.
"Or we could go to the lair and say hello." I say.
"Sinbad, we don't even know where it's headed." Proteus points out.
"Uh yeah. We kind of do." I point to the mountain range.
I start walking. Proteus grabs my hand.
"Sinbad, wait. There's only two of us." He says.
"We killed that see monster." I point out.
He lets out a breath.
"C'mon we'll be fine. More troops would just get in the way. This thing eats man. Soldiers would only make it hungry." I say.
"Alright. You're right." He says.
