"A...test...?" I spew.
"Since you seem to like killing monsters. I have a monster that I want you to kill." He says.
"What...who...?" I ask.
"Echidna." Poseidon says.
My eyes widen. Echidna... the mother of all monsters? You expect me to kill the Queen of Monsters? I don't even know where to start. He grips my neck harder. I feel like I'm going to pass out. I've lost a lot of blood.
"Echidna's impossible!" Marina yells.
"You fought off Eris easy enough." Poseidon says.
Easy is a strong word.
"I..." I start.
"Bring her head to the ocean side and I will consider sparing you and all of Syracuse from the wrath of the sea." He says.
"Sinbad can't do this alone!" Proteus snaps.
"So, are you planning on going with this orphan?" Poseidon turns.
"I am." Proteus agrees.
Oh come on.
"Catch." Poseidon throws me to Proteus.
I slam into the ground. I wince. Proteus barely catches me. He looks down at me.
"How you holding up?" He asks me.
"Perfect..." I mutter.
"Yeah, I'd see to it his wound heals. Not that I care." Poseidon turns.
Then he turns to King Dymas.
"You better watch your tongue." Poseidon warns.
King Dymas bows his head. He walks up to the stern.
"Do not fail me Sinbad." I watch him dive into the ocean.
