"Sinbad, look." Marina points.
I nod. Jagged rocks like teeth. A graveyard of ships. Ships broken to splinters. It looks like a giant city ruin made of wood. A foul smell enters my nose. Blood, death, and rotting. Rex draws back. I see the water is shallower. I could see the bottom. The bottom of the sea floor looks white. Bones. I look around. The rocks were stained red, not rust, blood. I bite my lip.
"Sinbad, we're here." Marina says.
"Friendly neighborhood." I mutter.
"Captain, the ship will get stuck soon." Kale says.
"Okay. Let's see if we can continue on land." I say.
"Look!" Rex yells.
I look up. A massive cave with open jaws lay before us. Something horribly rotting smells. I see bones decorating the entrance. I grip the wheel. My pulse tightens. That's the entrance. Just as Poseidon described. He wasn't joking about how gruesome this place is. I park the ship. Rex and the others throw ropes down.
"Alright. Poseidon sent me in. I'll go by myself." I say.
"Sinbad-" Kale starts but I push him away.
"No. You're not." Marina walks forward.
"Marina-" I start.
"She'll be well protected." Proteus steps forward.
"Alright. Let's go." I turn.
The Home of Echidna.
