"Look Proteus, where are we going?" I ask.
I jump over a log.
"Shhh. Quiet." He says.
"What are we doing here?" I whisper.
It's foggy and it's raining. The cold doesn't really bother me as much as the fog. The fog makes it harder to see. I have no idea what's going to happen. Where are we going? Are we going to face the monster?
"This problem has to be dealt with." He says.
"Yeah, but you don't have to do this." I point out.
"I can't let my best friend face a monster alone." He says.
"Wait... are we still on that level?" I ask.
"Of course. Why?" He says.
"Never mind." I push ahead of him.
"Sinbad..." He starts.
"Sh." I point to a heard of sheep.
"So now we wait." Proteus inches beside me.
I nod. This monster will come. I'm sure of it. Proteus is heavily breathing. He looks unsettled. Did I say something wrong? I decide not to question it. I look out and I hear something that sounds like a tree falling.
"It's coming." I whisper to Proteus.
He nods. He grabs his sword. I grab his hand.
"Don't." I whisper.
He nods and lets his hand down. Even in the fog, I see a massive leg slam into the ground. Well, it's bigger than I thought. There was this foul smell of blood. Something was dripping from it. It looks like black ooze. I see a hand grab a handful of sheep. I look up at it. It's eyes. It looks like they were melded together.
"Sinbad!" Proteus whispers.
"Shh." I whisper.
