"Now why would you call her?" Kold looked to Frankie.
"What do you mean? Do you really gotta ask me that?" She asked.
Frankie was Kold assistant and had been since the start.
She knew all about eden and as crazy as it seemed she had to admit she liked them together.
Frankie was the first person to know about them being together and the fact that they were practically married.
"I'm fine." He said walking out with a bandaged arm.
The news report of his tour bus being shot up was just as popular as Ceasars heart attack.
"baby!" They looked over to see his mother rushing up after him.
Kold sucked his teeth.
"Im good." He said irritated.
Kold was sure she only showed up to see if he was alive because she had a life insurance policy out for him.
He found this out years ago. Really right after he became famous. To him no matter what he did or tried to help he couldnt change his mother. Nothing could.
"I can come take-" she started and she was cut off.
"Oh my god." Eden ran up and looked Kold over.
She was breathing hard and had tears in her eyes.
"Uhm excuse me." Pam said looking at Eden who looked at her clueless.
Kold expected such.
He and Eden had been together for 4 months and this was the first time she had even met his mother.
"Ma chill this my girl, Eden." He said and she looked her over.
"A white girl?" She asked looking at her eyes.
"Mixed." He corrected her.
"My momma black and so am i." Eden said rolling her eyes.
The validity of her being black always seemed to be something she had to prove.
"Okay blue eyes." She said and Eden ignored her.
After the week she had the last thing she wanted was to get into it with Kold's mother.
"Are you okay?" Eden ignored her as she looked him over once more.
"Im good. Im good." He said as he wrapped his uninjured arm around her.
"I mean are you sure?" She said looking at his atm.
"Yea we finna go home." He said and his mother looked confused.
"Home?" She asked and he nodded.
"Wait she lives with you? Pam asked.
"Look ma I Preciate you checkin on me I'll hit you once we get home." He said giving her a hug and walking off with Eden.
Eden looked worried.
"Im good ight?" He said and she swallowed hard before nodding.
"Fine." She said not wanting to make scene as they exited but she was worried.
His tour bus was riddled with bullets yet he was acting as if nothing was wrong.
They headed down the stairwell and out the back into one of the man cars parked out back.
"Kold what the fuck is goin on?" She asked and he shook his head.
"Nothin." He said and she didnt want to keep pressing it as she nodded.
