Present Day
Brightchester Rehabilitation the sign read.
"Are you sure?" Eden looked from outside to Kold who nodded.
"My people said she was here last." Kold reassured her as they sat on the outside of a drug rehabilitation center.
There was barely any grass and although its name suggested otherwise it was a dreary and gloomy place.
Eden has never really been in a rehab center surprisingly and Kold had seen better.
She was glad they went discreetly but he still had a few security guards in the back seat.
"I can go wit you." He said starting to sit up and she shook her head.
"I'm just goin to go in for a minute see if she's there." She said.
Eden was still pissed about the song but the fact Eve's phone was now off that was not normal for her. She had the same number for years and never planned on changing it. That's just how she had always been.
"Okay well call me if you need me and I'll be in there ight?" He said leaning in and kissing her.
She nodded.
"And here." He put a hat on her head.
"Thank you." She gave a half smile.
Eden knew it would look crazy if she had just walked into a rehab center and it would draw attention. That was the last thing they needed if they needed to make it in and out. Eden was becoming more famous. She didnt hate the fact they were together but she hated when they just called her Kolds girl.
As she turned her thoughts from the fear of losing her identity she got out of the car thinking maybe it would be worse losing the only family she had left.
Eden quickly walked inside and then went to the desk.
"Eve Monroe?" Eden asked.
Her name sounded completely made up but so did Eden Grace Monroe.
Their mother said their big names meant they were destined for something big and even before her passing she was still sure of it.
"Lemme check." The woman behind the counter who was dressed in off-pink scrubs.
She smacked her gum as Eden looked at her name tag, Mary.
"I uhm dont see her here. Lemme get her counselor." She said locking the computer with her long nails before she fixed her long ponytail and sashayed down the hall.
Eden looked around and as mad as she was at Eve she was glad she had actually taken her rent money for something she needed.
"Hey." A woman in a doctor's coat approached,
"Hey I am E-" She paused.
"Im Miss Monroe, is my sister Eve here? Her phone is off and I haven't been able to reach her in a few days." Eden asked and the doctor nodded.
"Dr.Michaels." The woman introduced herself and they quickly shook hands.
"We actually haven't seen her in a few weeks. She said she was going to be back one night late but never returned." She explained.
"What?"Eden looked confused.
"As we told her we dont do refunds and she has paid for the month. So if you do find her tell her she has a week remaining." Dr.Michaels wrapped up before Mary returned with a small suitcase and a box.
"If you want we can keep her things until she returns or you can take them-" Dr. Michaels said and stopped mid-sentence.
Her mouth dropped open and Eden realized she was looking up and passed her.
