2 years later........
"King!!!" Eden yelled towards the ceiling.
Even with all that she endured it didn't seem to have aged her as she still looked like a teen at the age of 26. As she finished her bagel she stood in a regular t-shirt, a pair of jeans, and sneakers. It was a simple look with her curly hair pulled back into a low bun.
She was sure he was reading or drawing even though it was 7 in the morning.
"Ma, I'm literally comin." He said fixing his little tie and grabbing his jacket before walking downstairs.
He was now 5 but he was really going on 40.
Eden smiled at her son who was 3 months into his private school and excelling just as she and Kold always thought he would.
"Well, I didn't expect for you to actually be ready." She stuck her tongue out at him.
"Are you ready?" He asked and she looked at him.
"Boy, I said im going to the doctor to Look into having a baby." Eden said and King smiled.
"I told you Candace said that her momma had her by herself with the help of a doctor." King said and Eden looked at him.
"I said Id look into it." She said still in disbelief she was taking actual advice from a 5 year old.
"Good, then it can be just the three of us." King said and she grabbed his bag and then passed him a bagel with cream cheese and jelly.
"Or you can have triplets, I heard that was a thing." King said as if he actually knew what he was talking about.
"You're going to be a good big brother one day, one day." She said and he looked at her.
She couldnt help but laugh because he really thought he was an adult. It made her feel guilty sometimes because she felt like it was her fault. She found herself explaining everything to him wanting him to understand but had recently discovered how it made him too grown.
"And boy we will not discuss it anymore." She said and he didn't bother to say anything knowing he would likely get in trouble.
He was 5 but reading and writing at a second-grade level and third-grade level for math.
Eden was happy each and everyday with the thought of how proud Kole would be.
King looked exactly like him. He was about a shade lighter but had his father's charming smile and charisma. His eyes were still blue, the one thing he inherited from the grandfather he didn't know.
"Well you could adopt but we need like a new baby, not a toddler. Maybe Asian decent?" He said his preferences rubbing his little chinand she laughed as they headed for the door.
"Please get in the car." She said.
Eden wished she didnt tell King her plans but she had to admit she had been thinking about having another kid.
She knew a child with Kold would never happen but by herself, it could.
Since his passing Eden hadn't dated, planned on dating, or even entertained the idea of it. Instead, she spent all her time writing and it proved to be pretty lucrative. The money Kold left her had been left in her account for well over a year untouched just collecting interest. That was simply because she found her songs were being bought for a pretty good rate. In the last few years she was nominated for Grammys as a writer and even won a few along with several platinum songs, that just so happened to be written by her.
"So you aren't really going?" King sighed climbing into his seat.
Eden smirked as he buckled himself in and she checked.
