It was late at night Ocean found herself looking at Caesar while he slept.

She was still in her traveling clothes. Ocean wore a simple pair of leggings and a hoodie that matched. Her short thick hair was pressed straight into a bob and as usual, her face was natural.

As she looked at him he lay in bed with all three of his boys. Ujin and Zachary on one side and Cameron, still in his casts on the other. It was a picture-worthy scene, mostly why she raised her camera and took a picture.

Ocean forgot to turn off the flash and Caesar blinked a few times until his vision came into focus only to see Ocean standing over them and tucking her camera away in her purse.

"Sorry." She whispered.

Caesar gently climbed out of the middle and then off the bed.

"I didn't know you were back." He said in a whisper.

"Yea, I had to go extend my leave." She said and he looked at her.

"Ocean you don't have to do that." He said and Zachary started to move making Ujin do the same.

The couple paused their conversation before he softly grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the room.

"I didn't know that the little boy we saw at the private school turned out to be a famous person's son. It was coincidental and I didn't put it together like who she was. Eden was nice, we talked and she told me about the school nothing more." Ocean said.

"And you know who she is?" He asked with a raised eyebrow and she looked confused.

"Well yea, the girl who was in that group. Her husband was the rapper who died." Ocean said.

Ocean actually didn't know who Eden was prior to the quartet meeting. She had seen her on TV and seen her perform but it never registered to her who she actually was when they met. To her knowledge she hadn't done music in years, she now assumed that when she became a widow that had changed things for her and that their meeting was merely coincidental.

Caesar kind of felt like it was fate.

"Oh ok." He left it alone.

He had nearly forgotten that her identity to everyone but his lawyer and Marcus was unknown.

"Look I really appreciate everything you're doing, I do." Caesar paused and she looked at him.

"But Ocean I don't want to fuck up what you've going on or what made for yourself, for our son." He admitted simply because as mean as she acted he knew her heart, and he always would.

Ocean had to admit she was going beyond lately but she also felt that if she was in his shoes he would do the same for her.

"I just want to be here for you." She admitted.

The thing was she was. Caesar saw her efforts, the weeks she had spent there, even considering moving her entire life for him. He wanted her to, nothing more in the world would have preferred to have Ocean back and he could see it if he wanted her he could convince her but he still considered himself as a man with one foot halfway out the door to death. Everything about loving Ocean right now seemed selish.

"You are." He said and he let go of her hand.

Caesar grabbed her face.

"I love you." He said looking directly into her eyes.

It was a simple statement with so much behind it.

There was the love, the hate, the forgiveness, the pain, the happiness and truth all wrapped up into one.
