PoV Bill
Will reached for my hand as we entered the school and I let him take it.

There was a group of kids our age and a teacher trying to calm them down.

I pulled Will in their direction.

"Alright kids, let's check if everyone's here!", the teacher, a young man, yelled.

The he started yelling out names and the kids would say something like "here".

"Bileam Pines", the teacher called.

"Right here", I grinned.

"William Pines", the teacher continued. Will whispered something.

"William Pines!", the teacher called again.

I raised my brother's hand and told the teacher he was there.

When everyone had been called we went to the classroom.

The teacher told us where to sit, but, much to Wills horror, I wasn't seated next to my brother.

"Uhm, Sir! I would rather sit next to my twin, would that be possible?", I asked politely.

"No, you are supposed to meet new kids. Besides, I couldn't tell who's who if you sat next to each other", the man answered.

"His hair is literally blue", I stated.

"Yeah, about that. This school doesn't allow dying your hair, it needs to be back to it's original color as soon as possible",

"Sir, that is his natural hair color, it's a genetic defect. I can bring his baby pictures tomorrow and show you. Now, can I please sit next to my twin, he's very uneasy around strangers", I didn't give in.

The teacher shook his head.

"He'll be fine, now sit down. I'll have an eye on you", he mumbled.

I sat down.

On the first day the teacher explained to us how the next year would go, what stuff we'd learn and the school rules.

There was a girl sitting next to Will and she seemed quiet too, so I didn't have to rescue my blueberry.

In the break some kids crowded around their desk, I barely got through.

"You're from the murder hut in the forest, right? Is that crazy scientist your father?", a kid asked.

"That's our uncle and he's not crazy, he's a genius", I replied.

"Did he turn your hair blue?", the girl next to Will asked.

Finally Will opened his mouth: "born like this", he said quietly.

"You were born with blue hair? Wow, that's so cool!", the kids cheered.

Will looked less insecure now.

"How's living with scientist like?", someone asked.

"Uncle Ford is awesome! Has a solution for every problem and he knows some freaky stuff", I explained.

"He once brought home a gnome", Will added. I nodded eagerly.

"Kids, don't tell such stories. Gnomes don't exist.", the teacher suddenly said from behind us.

"Yeah, they do! They're really nasty sometimes, stealing stuff if we leave it in the garden", I replied.

"Enough. Get to your seats.", the teacher growled.

I huffed, but went to my seat anyway.

But now the whole class was discussion if gnomes existed.
