where do I start...
First of all, I would like to apologize. I never thought I would end up being one of those authors that takes years to update their story. But I knew for a fact that I never wanted to abandon a story.
Writing this story has been a pretty tough journey, not gonna lie.
I loved reading mafia/kidnapping stories on Wattpad but writing one myself turned out to be a huge challenge.
I think we can all agree that stories like these wouldn't really occur in real life but as a sucker for happy endings, I had to find a way to make the outcome of this story as believable and realistic as possible...and I struggled a lot.
At this point, I have absolutely no idea how often I changed the plot and deleted chapters, almost going insane.
Elias was actually heavily inspired by my father, whose toxic and narcissistic traits unfortunately got worse lately. But now, that I was able to move out, my mind can finally rest and this was probably the reason I found the time and courage to work on this story again.
Also a very important advice to everyone currently working on a story. Please, make a rough plot beforehand!! Rereading my story, many things were heavily influenced by my current emotional state (in general because of my anger and frustration towards my father), and this can have a negative impact on your story.
However, aside from changing a few things here and there, I didn't want to rewrite the entire story, hoping to learn from my mistakes, in case I happen to write more stories in the future. (and I hope that you learn from my mistake too)
Anyway, I am so grateful for your continuous support and for your patience. We even managed to hit 1k followers and over 800k reads, which still feels absolutely surreal to me.
