Anthony Lawrence"Anthony Baby, why don't you give us a chance?!" Madison asked for the thousandth time, while following me around in my best friend's cafe, not caring that I had to focus on work.
The clients were already complaining that I took so long just for a simple hot cup of coffee and a piece of cake. I let my hand brush through my hair in frustration as I quickly cut a piece of strawberry cheesecake for a woman that was already sending me death glares.
My eyes wandered to the clock, that was hanging on one of the walls of the cafe, wondering when Jasmine would finally decide to make an appearance, so that I could calm down for a couple of minutes.
"Here's your Strawberry cheesecake, Miss Markle," I told the old woman politely, who came here every day at the same time. Unfortunately, she was always here when I had my shift. Let's just say that I wasn't the best waiter in the world.
"I'm still waiting for you to get fired!" She exclaimed unnerved, taking the first bite of her cake. I just rolled my eyes at her comment and faked a smile, without replying anything.
"How dare you talk to him like this?" Madison flipped her black hair back and crossed her arms over her very prominent chest. She was drop dead gorgeous with her long black hair, pale skin, green eyes and perfectly shaped body. I couldn't deny that. But she wasn't exactly what I'd call a smart person. "Do you know who he is?"
Miss Markle wasn't the least bit scared of her attempt to threaten her, because Madison looked like an angry chihuahua.
"Maddy, leave her alone," I told her, even using her nickname, but she ignored me.
"This is Dr. Anthony Lawrence. The best doctor, who ever existed! So, if I were you, I would treat him with respect!" Madison shouted, making the other people in the cafe look at us.
"I know who he is and I appreciate his achievements in the medical field. But neither are we in a hospital nor is he in his doctor's uniform. He's a waiter, who's clearly not made for this job," Miss Markle retorted with a slight hint of amusement, before taking a sip of her coffee. "Now, if you'd excuse me, I want to enjoy my cake."
"You-" Madison wanted to continue her rambling, but I stopped her, pushing her away gently.
"Listen, I had a pretty stressful day. So please, could you just leave," I tried to tell her nicely, while starting making the dishes in the kitchen.
"I can help you," she suggested enthusiastically with a bright smile on her face. I sighed frustrated at her stubbornness. I was still tired from working at the hospital all day long, saving people's life. I liked working for Jasmine, my best friend and the owner of the cafe, because she wouldn't manage everything on her own. But with Madison on top of it, I just felt exhausted.
She was stalking me for five months now, texting and calling me numerous times a day. But these were the better times, honestly. Because three months ago, she unfortunately found out that next to the hospital, where she couldn't follow me around everywhere, I was also working in Jasmine's cafe. And now, I had to endure her every day.
"Hey guys, sorry it took so long," Jasmine apologized, rushing into the small kitchen. I helped her packing out the groceries, while she put her long brown hair into a messy bun.
"Jasmine, calm down!" I said, but she couldn't stand still. As expected, she was so stressed that she trapped over the bag full of groceries and let the eggs, that were in her hands, fall to the ground .
Madison, who was still in the kitchen, started laughing but stopped immediately as I shot her a mean glare.
I helped Jasmine standing up and took some tissues from the kitchen counter to clean up the floor, feeling Madison's eyes on my ass.
