Anthony Lawrence

"You don't look like someone, who just married the man of his dreams!?" A female voice commented.

I turned around to look who was talking to me only to see a really stunning woman in an elegant red dress with a completely open back, long and beautiful dark brown hair, tanned skin and long legs.

I've already seen a lot of beautiful woman in my life or also here at Elias' place. He seemed to be hiring his maids based on their looks and I didn't want to know why. But this woman in front of me was by far the most beautiful I've ever seen and I'm not at all exaggerating.

She was also beaming with confidence and power, because she obviously knew how beautiful she was and that she could have anything and anyone she wanted in her life without exception.

"Uhh...I'm just tired," I explained with a light smile. It wasn't even a lie. I was tired from this marriage. It was noisy and crowded with people, that obviously didn't care for me and looked at me from time to time.

Elias was already gone for two hours. When he finished a conversation with one group of people there were already others who waited for their turn to talk to him.

I also saw some of his other family members. Or I assumed they were, but I was pretty sure, because they had familiar traits from Elias or his parents. But just like his parents they weren't interested in me at all. Even if I was kind of a family member now and even officially had Easton as a last name I could see that they didn't accept me.

I tried to ignore the ring around my finger that signalized that I was Elias' property from now on.

"You can't lie to me, Anthony!" She smiled calmly and sat down next to me. "You just got married and he's already treating you like shit, but that's nothing new to me. He didn't care to change his behavior for anyone until now and I unfortunately believe that you won't achieve that too."

She took a sip from her sex on the beach cocktail and looked at me intensely from the bottom to the top.

"Do you talk from experience?" I asked her curiously. Having someone, who didn't only tell positive things about Elias and was praising him all the time, was kind of refreshing.

"Oh no, we don't want to talk about my horrible relationship with Elias," she laughed. "First of all, I wanted to truly thank you for saving my son's life! He means the world to me and I can't imagine my life without him!"

My eyes widened at what she just said and I gasped in shock.

"Sam is your son?" I asked dumbly, even though she already told me he was, but I wanted to hear it another time to make sure I was not hallucinating.

"Yes, he is. My name is Leah Hudson," she clarified still with a smile on her face. "Judging from your reaction Elias didn't talk about me at all, right?"

I could see that it bothered her immensely. But on the other hand, why should he talk about his ex at all, of course he wouldn't. And Elias and I didn't talk about our lifes, experiences or relationships anyway. Our relationship was completely superficial. He didn't even want to take me with him to meet his other family members or the people he worked with. Instead he let me here alone with a piece of cake, surrounded by people, who saw me like trash.

"We don't talk much, you know," I revealed. "Maybe, he does talk about you, but with people he has more trust in."

"Tell me more about it?" She asked curiously, but I didn't answer her and simply sighed out of tiredness.

"Nothing important," I responded, because I knew that I didn't have the right to talk to anyone about the part that I was kidnapped and especially not with Elias' ex.
