9 - Trust Issues

Y/N's Pov
Jeff walks me out of the Medjack hut and I met outside by Newt and Thomas who I guessed as much heard our conversation because they both stood there shaking their heads "What? If you have something to say spit it out already" I said looking at both of them rolling my eyes they knew I hated opinions being hidden, I started walking off towards the treehouse both boys following me, Thomas looking more upset with me than Newt was "You are just being paranoid! No one else feels the way you do Y/N, Your being really stupid!" Thomas shouts as I am walking a small distance ahead of them.

"You actually believe that note? and the that it really came up with no supplies and on top of that, not so much Tara but her? she comes up knowing her name and our names Thomas" I ask him sternly stopping in my tracks turning to them glance at Newt shrugging.

We continued in silence to the treehouse and I entered first taking seat on the couch as did the boys after Newt closed the hatch behind us, "Maybe it just a coincidence Y/N, we don't know how long they have been there" Newt said trying to deescalate the heat between myself and Thomas but I roll my eyes again.

"So what I am getting from this is, Ben getting stung, attacking me, telling me and Thomas this is all our faults, him getting banished after trying a second time to attack me and those two coming up in the box with a note saying 'The Last Two' is just a coincidence do you know how crazy that sounds to me right now?" I said to him they both just sit there silently eyeing my suspicions.

"There is just no way, for it to possibly be a coincidence and I am going to prove it isn't one" I said starting to pace back and forwards thoughts in my head, both boys watching me intently "And just how do you plan on doing that Y/N" Thomas asks, I just dead straight make eye contact with him "I just will ok Thomas" I said to him.

A little while later after the boys had gone and I had time to recompose myself I head down to do some garden work to clear my mind but boy I should have known it wouldn't and I should have just gone to the Medjack hut instead because I heard the sound of a soft voice "Afternoon Y/N" the soft toned voice speaks from behind me, I glance behind me seeing that it was Teresa of all people, I turned back to work building another patch for stuff to be grown "hi" I muttered as she helped by digging the dirt inside of it for someone to plant stuff later.

"How are you?" she asks pausing after she had done that "why do you ask" I say in response, she stayed silent for a moment and I continued working now on an area for a new hut because Alby had said before that he wanted one over here, then she finally speaks "Well.. uhm.." she starts and hesitates "You have been acting weird around me since I arrived" she said, I could almost sense as well as feel the gaze on the back of my neck because the hairs were stood up. 

"What do you mean I've been acting weird since you got here?" I asked raising a brow in response "I uhm.. Well every since you woke up like that screaming, you have been acting weird around me" she said, I kicked the shovel into the dirt before turning to face her pretty much glaring at her "Wait, Wait you are seriously not telling me you've known me a full five minutes and tell me i'm acting weird are you for real" I asked sternly, she bites her lip after I said that I notice as I let a deep breath out I almost felt bad about what I said.

"You're right, I don't really know you... I guess I need to get to before I judge the way you act... I'm gonna go now and let you get on with work.." Teresa said walking off, Tara and Newt must have heard the conversation because they ran over, Tara looked at me as I nodded her to go after her, Newt stayed intently looking at me.

"What the hell was that just now Y/N"  he asked with an upset tone and expression, I sighed taking a deep breath "What?" I asked him, he shakes his head at me "Are you sure you are ok, because that was far from like you, it was very aggressive" he asked crossing his arms very tightly.

I rolled my eyes at him, before continuing my work "I told you didn't I, I told you I find her weird" I said, again he shakes his head as he also grabs a shovel starting work "Whatever Y/N" he muttered.

Teresa Pov

Y/N talking to me like that hurt for some reason I never wanted to upset her, but she has been acting weird around me since I arrived I have no clue what her issue is, she's been really aggressive towards me, but Tara that other girl I met in the box she had no issue with what did I do to her? I just walked off heading for the campfire, Tara ran after me I guess cause she called my name "Teresa wait up!" she yelled as we reached the campfire "oh.. hi.." I said as I took a seat she sat next to me "are you ok?" she asked me I made eye contact with her for some reason I felt close with her like she was familiar to me but I couldn't tell but I answered her question "yeah.. I don't know what that was" I said to her, "she may just be having a rough day" she said, but then there was a commotion at the doors.
