34 - Temporary Cure...

Y/N Pov

Gally and Tara had left to both go get some rest after having been up watching over me last night making sure that I was doing ok last night, leaving myself and Newt to catch up with each other "Sooo, When did you and Gally get close because I remember you hated each other" Newt asked raising his brow "Oh right, I never told you did I" I said "No you didn't so why are you so close now" he asks "It was when I tripped in the river the other day" I explained he nodded "Right I see" Newt says "I was tangled in some vines and gotten thrown into the river and Gally helped me, but I ended up having a memory" I explained to Newt slowly.

He looked at me completely shocked "Wait really?" Newt said raising his brow one more time "It was a memory of myself and a younger boy... I then figured out that boy was Gally and that he is my older brother" I explained he looked at me speechless for a moment "I guess, no actually now I think about it I can see that" he says.

My mind starts drifting back to what happened last night, Thomas's lips on hers, Newt notices "Hey.. Don't even think about them right now" he says being very supportive of me, I nod "It's hard not to.. Because I love her.. and I was going to actually tell her that too.." I said sighing, he looks at me sharing my face expression "But no there's no point.. I am going to clear my head for a bit.." I say getting up limping out of the hut.

As I am limping I stop glancing at the path ahead of me that once brought me so much joy when I walked down it daily, I reached the ladder avoiding looking at the tree house heading far into the woods even past the pond sliding down against one of the stone walls leaning against it.

I sigh looking at the sky "damnit!" I mutter a yell, I life my shirt up noticing the black and blue lines that were once there beginning to reappear once more I hear something snap near by quickly hiding my chest I glance over it's Teresa.

I roll my eyes at her "Why are you here" I ask her she frowns looking at the floor "I want to talk.." she says quietly, I glance away from her "Oh really cause there is so much to talk about~" I say rolling my eyes I stand up, she watches "Y/N please..." she pleads quietly.

"I can't do this right now" I say turning my back tears flood her eyes quickly, I glanced back she looks as if she hasn't gotten much sleep looking like death and Thomas well he hadn't been seen at all since last night events.

"Can you please just let me explain... Thomas asked me to talk... then he.. he kissed me.. without saying a word.. and I froze.. and he wouldn't get off or let me go.." she says I roll my eyes at her "Uh huh Teresa" I say not believing a single word she says.

"Why won't you trust me! I.." she yells "because I seen the looks I was never the first choice!" I exclaim she looks confused and shocked "What.." she says, stepping closer "It was Thomas.. always has since the party.. When you got drunk at the party.." I said explaining it bluntly.

"Y/N it's not.. You know there come on" she says sombrely, I gulped hiding any emotion that wanted to get out "It makes this so much easier" I mutter to her "What does that mean Y/N" she says confused at me, I pull up my shirt "The cure is not permanent" I say as she stares at the black and blue lines on my chest concerned, she stays completely silent frowning.

I stare into her eyes for a moment and she stares back into mine a moment, we lean in but I pull away before we kiss "Teresa I am so sorry for what is about to happen to you.." I say she looks confused "Why are you sorry Y/N?" she says "I am sorry for this" I say knocking her out smacking her head with my right arm, she falls to the floor, I ran getting away as far as possible.

Teresa's Pov

The last thing I remember was talking to Y/N in the wood when everything went from clear to black suddenly, The next thing I know is I am gasping for air with Newt next to me looking concerned "Hey woah, take it easy" he said "argh, my head" I groaned as he sat me up "What happened" he asked me I shook my head staying silent not saying a single word as I had a good idea what had happened.

He sighed "fine if you won't tell me at least let me get you to the medjack hut" he said insisting I nodded sighing "fine, but I am no rat ok" I said making sure he knew I wasn't going to tell but hinting that someone had done this to me "so someone clearly did this, but if you won't talk I can't force you to" he says as we entered the medjack hut, to Jeff and my sister being there.

"What the hell happened to her" Tara asked coming to my side still worried about me "She won't tell me" Newt said to her she looked away from me quickly "Why do you have to be so difficult" she says calmly "I am not trying to be I am not a rat, I am not snitching" I said glancing at her, I knew by the look in her eyes that she already had a good idea as to who did this, but she didn't let Newt see "I have to go" she says to Newt he nods "I will watch her" he says as she Tara leaves the medjack hut quickly.
