Everyone was happy for Hayden and Sam getting engaged, everyone except for Alexandria. She was more devastated then she already was. Her texts to Sam hadn't stopped. It was really getting on his nerves.

That following weekend Hayden was staying at Sam's house. It was night time. Hayden was in the bedroom in her pajamas. She was standing by the end table. She'd just plugged her in phone. Just then Sam wrapped his arms around her waist. She smiled.

"Come here baby." He said. She turned around. He was in just his boxers. They kissed. He took off her top. "Lay down." She did. They kissed. Then he slowly kissed her down her body. She moaned. He got a text, then another and other. Just as he was about to pull off Hayden's bottoms he got another text. He rolled his eyes. "Hold on." "Leave me alone you annoying bitch." He thought as he picked up his phone. Sure enough all the texts were from Alexandria.

"Who is it?"

"Just business stuff." He shut off the phone.

"At this hour?"

"Some people have no concept of time."

Afterwards they were snuggled up together.

"I was thinking." Sam said. "Instead of you moving in here." "We should get our own place."

"We could do that."

The next afternoon Sam was out skating. Hayden decided to make lunch for them. She got vegetables out the fridge, put them on a cutting board on the kitchen and began chopping them. Sam had accidentally left his phone. It was on the kitchen island right next to the cutting board. Sam's phone got a text. Hayden glanced at it. What she saw got her attention.

Why won't you talk to me baby? - Alexandria

Two more came through.

I miss you. - Alexandria

You know what we have is better. - Alexandria

Hayden's stomach felt like it was in knots.

Ten minutes later Sam came through the door.

"I'm back." He said. Hayden was standing there. Her bag was packed next to her. Sam could tell she was angry. "What's wrong?"

"Alexandria's been texting you." She said angrily. "That's who texts you all the time isn't it?"

"Yes."

"Are you having an affair with her?"

"Not anymore."

She stepped up to him and smacked him in the face. "Do you love her?" She asked tearfully.

"No." "I love you."

"No you don't."

"Yes I do."

"Was it only the one time?"

"No."

"How many times?"

"I don't know."

"How long?"

"Like two months." She smacked him again.

"Two months?" "Are you kidding me?" "So that's why you decided to propose to me, because you feel guilty."

"No." "I proposed to you because I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

"Before or after you fuck Alexandria?"

"It was a mistake."

"Once is a mistake Sam." "Two months, there must be something else."

"No." "It was just an attraction, that's all."

"Being attracted to someone and actually acting on it is two different things." "Someone at work has a crush on me." "In fact, before you asked me out, he asked me out." "We were actually getting pretty close back then because we used to do autograph signings together." "When he asked me out, I said no." "I know that even today if I wanted to sleep with him, he wouldn't turn me down." "Unlike you, I would never act on my attraction to him because I'm committed to you."

"I should've stopped it when it started happening."

"Yeah you should've, but you didn't." She took off her ring and gave it to him. She picked up her bag.

"Please don't go, she means nothing to me, I swear."

"That almost makes it worse." "You threw away our relationship, for someone who means nothing to you." "Proving how much I mean to you, which is nothing." She said with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"No." "You mean everything to me Hayden." "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." He said with tears in his eyes. "I'll never do anything like this again."

"Whatever." She left.

He wiped his eyes. "No."

Hayden was at the airport. She went into the bathroom and was alone. As she looked into the bathroom mirror she broke down crying.

" What did I do to make him want to cheat on me?" "Does he think she's prettier then me?"  "Am I bad in bed?" "What do I do wrong?"
