Chapter 23

It had been three days since Alexandria's allegations had been made. On social media Sam had already been deemed a rapist. FireDarbyAllin had been trending on Twitter the last three days. It was early in the morning. Hayden and Max were in his hotel living room drinking coffee. Hayden was on her phone looking at all the nasty things being said about Sam.

"I feel bad for Sam." Hayden said. "He doesn't deserve this." "I know she's lying."

"I saw they're tearing him apart on social media."

"It's bullshit."

Sam was in Florida. He'd just walked into a law firm. He and Tony were sharing a lawyer. He walked up to the front desk.

"May I help you sir?" The woman behind the desk asked smiling. She looked to be in her late twenties. The first thing Sam noticed was her piercing blue eyes. Her black hair was in a french braid.

"I'm looking for Mr. Cooper's office."

"Fourth floor, fifth door on the left."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome." He walked away. " He's cute." She thought.

Sam was in Mr. Cooper's office.

"Miss Gallagher is claiming that on the night in question you came to her room." Mr. Cooper said. "She tried to end the affair." "You became very angry, forced your way into the room and raped her."

"That's not what happened." "I went there that night to break it off." "I stayed in the hallway the entire time." "I broke it off." "She got teary eyed and told me she loved me." "I didn't feel the same, I had a girlfriend at the time." "I told her I was sorry, that I thought she was a nice person but I loved my girlfriend." "For weeks after I broke it off she kept texting me." "I mean over and over."

"Do you still have the messages?"

No."

"She's willing to drop the charges if you settle out of court for two million dollars." "She's willing to settle out of court with Tony for five million."

"No, I did nothing wrong."

"Tony has already said no as well."

Later that night Hayden and Max went out for dinner. They'd just ordered. Her phone rang.

"Hello?" She said.

"Hayden?" A woman's voice asked.

"Yes." "Who's calling?"

"This is Alexandria."

"You have a lot of nerve calling me." "What the fuck do you want?"
