Chapter 27

Over the last two months Hayden had been extremely busy. Not only were her and Max's wedding plans in full swing, but she continued to defend her TBS Championship. She was in the middle of an interview with the magazine Vanity Fair.

"You seem to have a very hectic schedule." The interviewer said.

"I do." "I have matches, appearances, traveling and to top it all off, planning my wedding." She said happily.

"Do you have a wedding date set?"

"September 27th."

"A little over three months away."

"Yes, I can't wait."

"Were you apprehensive dating another wrestler, given what happened with Darby Allin?"

"Yes." "I wish I didn't have to be hurt finding my way to Max, but I know I'm with the person I'm supposed to be with." "I'm with my soulmate now

"How long have you been TBS Champion?"

"306 days."

"What's the record?"

"580 days."

"Do you think you'll break that record?"

"I intend to."

Two days later at the arena Sam was in his locker room bathroom putting on his paint. Alexandria had been convicted of slander and sentenced to two years in prison and a two thousand dollar fine. She was ordered never to contact Sam for life. Sam heard the door open.

"It's me honey." Lucy said.

"I'll be right out." He came out two minutes later. They smiled at each other. "Hey baby, give me a kiss."

"What about your paint?"

"I'll fix it, come here." They kissed. "I missed you."

"I missed you too."

Hayden was in the hall. Up the hall in catering she saw Sam talking to a woman she'd never seen before. It filled her heart with joy to see that he looked so happy. Just by his face she knew he was in love.

The show was going on. Max was out in the ring talking about his second AEW World Championship win at the previous Sunday's pay-per-view. Just as he finished Hayden's music came on. Max was surprised. As far as he knew she wasn't supposed to come out. Hayden got a microphone and stood in the middle of the ring.

"You look surprised to see me sweetheart." Hayden said  "I'm out here to tell everyone and you, that I won't be breaking the record for the longest reigning TBS Champion." "I have to relinquish my championship tonight." She took off her championship and put it on the canvas. "A half hour ago I got the results of my physical back." She looked at Max. "I'm pregnant Max." She said happily. "We're going to have a baby."

Max got a shocked look on his face. "Really?" He said but no one but Hayden could hear him. They hugged and kissed. "I love you so much Hayden."

"I love you too Max."

Back at the hotel Lucy and Sam were snuggled up in bed after having sex.

"Hey." Sam said. She looked at him. "I love you Lucy." It was the first time he'd said that to her..

She smiled. "I love you too Sam."

"I haven't been this happy in a long time."

"Neither have I." They kissed.

Meanwhile Hayden and Max were in bed together. He was laying down by her stomach caressing it.

"It must've happened while I was switching birth control prescriptions." Hayden said. "I know it came as a surprise but I'm glad it happened."

"So am I." "I can't wait to be a daddy."

"It's gonna be great." "I'll have to buy a bigger wedding dress."
