Toxic Affair

Chapter 20

Hayden knew she had to tell Max about the kiss. She didn't want to do it through a phone call or text. It was the night of the pay-per-view. Hayden was in the Women's Locker Room with most of roster.

"Ready for your match? Britt asked.

"Yeah." She said distracted.

"Come with me." They went out of the room and into an empty hallway. "What's wrong with you?"

"The other night Sam came to get his stuff from my house." "We got to talking and he kissed me."

"Did you kiss him back?"

"Just for a second." "I want to tell Max." "I'm afraid he's gonna leave me when I do." "I don't want him to."

"You should tell him but for now you have to focus on your match."

"I know." She sighed frustrated. "Fuck."

On their way back to the locker room they noticed a delivery man outside about to knock with roses.

"Who are those addressed to?" Britt asked.

"A Hayden Chambers."

"That's me." Hayden said. He handed her the roses. She opened the card. It read.

Good luck tonight baby. I love you. - Max

Hayden went to Max's locker room. When she opened the door he was tying his boots. He looked up and smiled.

"Hey baby." He said.

"Hi." She went over to him and kissed him. "Thank you."

"You're welcome."

"We need to talk later."

"Alright." "You're staying with me tonight right?"

"Yes."

Later that night Hayden was about to go out for her match.

"Good luck tonight." Sam said walking past her.

Sam watched Hayden's match backstage.

Hayden won and was now the new TBS Champion. Max was waiting for her when she got to the back. They hugged and kissed.

"Congratulations baby." He said.

"Thank you."

They'd just gotten back to Max's room.

"We need to talk sweetheart." She said. They sat down on the couch.

"Is something wrong?"

"It's probably going to be." "I won't blame you for getting angry with me." "I don't want to have any secrets." "Friday night Sam came to get his things." "We started talking and he kissed me." "I did kiss him back, but only for a second." "I told him to leave and he did." "That's all that happened, I swear." "If you want to break things off, I understand." Hayden was expecting Max to kick her out, but to her surprise he kissed.

"I don't want to break things off." "You were honest with me." "That tells me you take our relationship as seriously as I do."

"I do." They kissed.

"Come on." They went into the bedroom.

They were in bed.

"I want to make things official with us." She said.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I want to be your girlfriend." He smiled. They kissed.
