13. Sumedh's Anger

We sat on a dining table with our plate. Abhinav took a first bite of his food.
"hmm it's soo tasty"
I also ate it. Wait, I have eaten this same taste somewhere. I remembered This is the same taste where I ate in cafe near the beach with Sumedh that day. I was last thinking that how did the chef came here. That cafe looked so expensive how did he convinced him only in one day?? Suddenly I heard Abhinav's voice.

"Mallika coming Sunday can you come to my home we both can complete our assignment together"
I was about to say something but Sumedh kept his plate on the dining table with the loud sound he pulled a chair beside me and sat on it. And said

"No! I and Mallika are going for a date on Sunday. Mallika did you forget you asked me to spend some time with you"
Is he gone mad what is he even saying??

"date?? What the hell are you saying Sumedh. I just asked your 1 day that's it not date and all. And moreover you don't wanted to come with me, Abhinav I will.."
I couldn't able to speak because Sumedh hold my hand under the table.

"Nooo!!! When did I said that I will come with you. I'm free on Sunday so we can go"
He hold my hand tightly I gave him death glance and tried to free my hand but he hold it even more tightly.

"sorry Abhinav I can't come to your house and I have already completed my assignment"
I missed a golden opportunity to impress him just because of this Sumedh.

He said sadly.

I turned towards the direction where the voice came. I saw 3 to 4 boys standing with some injuries on their face.

"what,what??"
I was shocked seeing them.

"What do you all want??"
I asked couldn't able to recognise who are they.

"We are sorry sister we shouldn't have asked you for a Maggie date"
Ohh yeah these were the same boys who asked me to eat Maggie with them.

"Asked??"
Sumedh asked narrowing his eyes to them.

"Tease,Teased you"
They instantly said.

"Mallika"
Another boy came from back whose hand was fractured.

"now who are you??"
I asked.

"I'm the one who kept that drink on your desk. I'm sorry sister"

"wow Mallika you are very popular here"
Abhinav said

"hehe, I also got to know it today. But I'm not understanding What's happening"
I said the last line with low voice that nobody can hear it.

"okay you all can go now"
I said to them.

"until you forgive us we will not go"
They said together.

"okay, okay fine I have forgiven you all. You all can go now"

"once again sorry sister we will never do it again"
They said and left. I saw Abhinav staring at Sumedh. Sumedh left my hand and was busy eating his lunch.
Soon our classes got ended. I packed my bag.

"bye Abhinav if you have any doubts you can call me anytime"

"Okay,bye take care"
He said and left.

"bye take care"
Sumedh mimics him.

"you are seriously unbelievable I thought you are only addicted to books I never thought you will fall for a guy that too for him?? What did you saw in him?? Always sticks with you like a fevicol I don't know how can you..."

"Enough Sumedh what happened to you, why are you behaving like this??"

"First tell me what has happened to you Mallika why are you behaving like this?? You are not at all concentrating on class your full concentration is on him, this is not the Mallika I know. If you do like this I'm sure one or the other day you will go back to the same level you were in the class 10th and you will never become class topper and will never fulfill your uncle Aunty dream"
He went from there after saying this. Somewhere he was right. I can't able to concentrate on the class the whole day I was busy with Abhinav. No I should stop this. My first priority is my uncle and Aunty. I should concentrate on my studies now yes.

Days were passing Mallika ignored Abhinav in these days Sumedh also didn't spoke much with Mallika.

Saturday midnight
"Hello, Mallika please please come to my house right now I...I will text you my address, it's an emergency"
Abhinav said in a scared voice.

"ohh hello, stop your drama"
Sumedh said.

Abhinav was shocked to hear his voice he checks the Truecaller and remembers how he snatched his phone that day when Mallika was giving her number.

"Ohh,that day you changed her number in my phone, and added your number"

"areee wahhh! you got to know it so soon. By the way a boy calling a girl at this hour and calling her to your house whats your intention??"
He asked calmly.

"It's none of your business"

"None of my business, huh!everything related to her is my business so don't you dare to see her"
Sumedh warns him

"you know one thing Sumedh you are really very much insecure. I have seen you how you get jealous whenever I'm around her and those boys I know very well you were the one who you made those boys apologize Mallika, from the day 1 only I knew that I have to face you for Mallika"
Sumedh tightens his grip on his phone and controls his anger.

"you are more smarter than I thought. After knowing also what will happen to you. You are still going closer to her. Don't try much she will never fall for a idiot like you"

Abhinav ended the call. Sumedh throws his phone on the floor. His phone became into pieces.
Arjun enters his room and sees the phone broken on the floor. Arjun forwards his phone towards Sumedh. Sumedh took his phone and calls Mallika.

"I don't want to hear anything just come down. I will be near your hostel in 5min"

"But Sumedh"
He ended the call. He reached near her hostel he sees her waiting near the gate for him. He stopped his car and ran towards her. He hugged her tightly and said.

"Mallika don't go near Abhinav he is not like as you think"
Sumedh said.

"Sumedh what are you saying leave me"
Mallika tried to free herself.

"Shh! Just stay like this for a moment, please. I need you"
He whisperes in her ear. She felt her shoulder getting wet. She hugged him back.
