38. What's wrong with Arjun??

Mallika's pov:
I came back home, sorry Sumedh's mansion. And went to Sumedh's room thank God he wasn't there in his room. Just than Sumedh's Chachi entered room with two maids. They were holding something.

"Good morning ma'am"
I wished her.

"keep them all on the bed"
She said this to those maids completely ignoring me.

"ma'am this??"
I asked looking at the jewelleries and sarees which she brought.

"unwillingly I should accept you as my daughter-in-law so these are some saree and jewelleries which I kept for Sumedh's wife"
She said in a serious expression.

"but ma'am I don't want them please don't get me wrong but I don't wear jewelleries I prefer to stay simple I rarely wear saree so I don't need them"
I said honestly.

"if you like or not you are now daughter-in-law of this house and you have to wear it everyday. Do you understand!"
She roared at me. I gulped and said.

"ye..yes"
She was leaving but stopped and turned.

"And one more thing try to hide your daughter as much as possible if media gets to know about this they will make big news"
I simply nodded and she left. Why is she behaving like this with me?? I thought she is a nice person. But I was wrong she is more dangerous than Sumedh.
Mallika's pov ended

At Sumedh's side

Arjun comes back. And both completed the pending work sended all her needed things to his house.

"So buddy the work is finally completed, I'm really very tired so shall we go for a drink and dinner party"
I was still lost about that night.

"Sumedh,What happened??"
Arjun asked.

"Arjun it was me, because of whom she suffered. I just hate myself"
I said, he understood.

"Calm down buddy it's alright. Now you both are married just forget everything whatever happened in past and start a new life"
He said

"no, Arjun I can't forget this. you remember right, How she was in school. She used to talk with each and everyone and was not at all scared of anything. She used to eat almost 5 members food in a meal. But now she has become like a lifeless soul who doesn't talks with anyone and scared of everything. She only eats one time in a day. She changed because of me. She was energetic now she has become very weak. I can't see her like this Arjun I need my Mallika back. With whom I fell in love"

"give her some time being with you she will definitely become the old Mallika. She only needs love Sumedh. Spend some time with her. Recreate each and every moment you both have spent together"
He said somewhere his words calmed me down. Yes, she will again become my old Mallika.

"so Sumedh I'm really very proud of myself"
I looked at him weirdly.

"my observant is too good, when I saw Aarohi's photo for the first time I clearly said that you both look like father and daughter. And I was right, bubby you have become father I still can't believe this"
He continues wiping his fake tears.

"I'm becoming emotional that my useless, short tempered and idiot bubby become this much big that he has a daughter"
I was looking at him strangely. And said.

"Arjun why you always do this much drama. I'm waiting for your wife to come. Just wait and watch how much torture I'll give you I'll take revenge for each and everything"
He chuckled and said.

"In your dreams, because in this life I'm not gonna marry anyone I'm very happy being single"

"then what about Priya??"
I asked in a teasing way.

"priya?? Sumedh are you out of your mind, for me she's just an employee in our company and mallika's friend nothing more"
He said while trying to be normal.

"on my marriage day I saw you talking with Priya, is it everything ok?? Did she say something??"
Hearing me he got lost in his own world.

(A/n- Arjun was remembering priya's words in Sumedh's marriage.
"I wanted to spend my rest of my life with you" these words were roaming in his mind. And somewhere his heart was falling for her)

"Arjun"
I called him while shaking his shoulder bringing him back to the real world.

"h..ha"
He said.

"where are you lost man??"

"nothing, she...she didn't said anything. She was just angry that you are forcefully marrying Mallika that's it"
Why is he behaving very strange today??

"why are behaving weird, Are you okay??"
I asked looking at him.

"yeah, I'm perfectly alright"
He said,Something is wrong with him.
We both reached home.

"pappa!!!"
Aarohi came and hugged me. I hugged her back. My eyes become wet. She broke the hugged and asked sadly.

"why are you crying??"
I wiped my tears.

"nothing, Aarohi it's just happy tears"
I smiled.

"I thought you went for your office, mumma also went somewhere after giving me today's injection, Aisha di is also had gone college I was getting really very bored. Here there is no one to play with me"

"why do you think like that, I'm there to play with you. Today I have  holiday in my office"

"that means you will be with me the whole day??"
She asked being excited.

"yes, Aarohi"
I said pulling her both cheeks.

"yaahhhh!!!"
She danced a little jig and jump for joy.

"so what do you want to do first"
I asked her.

"Pappa, I like water a lot. But mumma has never live me to get inside the water I want to learn swimming"

"Okay, so today I'll teach you how to swim are you excited??"

"yessss"
She exclaimed

"come let's go"
I hold her hand and we both got ready with our swimsuits. We both went inside the water.

"water is too cold"
She said entering in.

"Wowww"
She started splashing on me with her little her hands. I splashed back on her. Like this we both played a while. And I taught her walking and floating in water.

"so beat your both legs, don't be scared I'm here with you"
I said she did perfectly as I directed.

"wow, Aarohi you are a quick learner"
I said she giggled.

"it was my biggest dream to play in water and swim in water. I'm very happy today"
She again started splashing water on me.

"Sumedh!"
I heard mallika's voice screaming my name in angry.

"permission?? Why do I need it, I have all rights she is my daughter too"
