50. Who gave sugar to Aarohi??

Sumedh's pov:
We were driving back to home.

"Mallika why did you said like that?? Aarohi is my daughter too"
I asked

"no, Sumedh we can be friends but not husband and wife. Aru, she is my responsibility and only my daughter"
Why is she behaving like this??

"but Mallika, we are married that means she's my daughter too"
For this she became silent and I continued.

"People can questions about your character. And I don't want that to happen"
She turned towards me and said.

"let them, I don't care"
She said. I gripped the steering tightly. I can't hide this anymore I have to say this. I'm ready to for her reaction, yes I have to say this.

"Mallika I through to hide this from you but I think now it has become very necessary"
I took a deep breath prepared myself. And turned towards her.

"I'm Aarohi's...."
I was about to say the truth but.

"Sumedh watch out!"
She shouted looking at the front and turned and saw I was going to hit a huge truck.

"Shit"
I immediately turned the car and pressed brake I extended my arm towards Mallika that she won't hit her head front. And I heard Aarohi cry. I immediately took her in my arms.

"Aarohi are you alright??"
She hugged me while sobbing badly. She was so scared.

"nothing has happened, you are fine shh, calm down"
I said while patting her. Until she stop her cry. And we went back to my mansion I made Aarohi sleep in her room covering her blanket. The day went like this. I and Mallika did talked the whole day. And I didn't got a chance to say the truth.

After few weeks

At night

Mallika's pov:
It has been so many days for that incident. Sumedh is a great driver. Don't know that day how he lost his concentration on driving. And thank God nobody is injured. He didn't give me a chance to calm Aru. He calmed her down like a father. Even though we were fighting before that accident but than also he protected me and calmed Aru. And in these days Sumedh's Chachi is also been changed from few days every night she's giving milk for Aru and makes her sleep after narrating her a story. I was so surprised by her sudden change as well as happy too. I went to Aru's room to check on her.

"Aru, did you.."
Her bed was empty. And the milk glass was also kept at the side table of her bed. But where did she go. I went towards her. Just to see Aru on the floor sweating badly.

"Aru!"
I immediately took her on my lap.

"mu..mumma I..I... can't..."
She was trying to say something but she became unconscious.

"Aru!!!"
I called Ambulance and took her to the hospital. Sumedh and Arjun went out of town for some work. We reached hospital they took her to OT. I really needed someone I was so scared I took my phone out the only person who came into my mind was Sumedh. I dailed his number.

On call
He recived it in one ring.
"Hello, Mallika haven't you slept yet?? I told you right I will be late"

"Su.. sumedh I'm... I'm in hospital"
I managed to speak somehow between my tears. And he understood he ended the call.

After 5 minutes he was here. As soon as he saw me he came towards me. I hugged me tightly.

"Mallika what happened to her??"
He asked being worried.

"I... I don't know Sumedh... doctor has taken her to OT"
I said.

"ok, ok, calm down she's very strong will happen to her"
He said while caressing on my hairs. I really needed someone. This made me calm. We waited and doctor came out.

"doctor Aarohi??"
Sumedh asked

"Her kidney has been damaged consuming more sugar. She's a diabetic person you both should have taken more care of her"
Doctor said making me and Sumedh shock. We looked at eachother.

"but doctor she hasn't consumed sugar, even she didn't even touched it"
I said.

"Maybe behind you she must have.."

"no doctor Aarohi will never do like that she knows that she can't eat any sweet"
Sumedh said.

"Hmm, this time she's out of danger her kidney has damaged but no need to worry now she's perfectly alright. Next time take more care about her"

"Thank you doctor, can we see her??"
Sumedh asks

"yes, you can buy don't disturb her"
Doctor said and left
We both went inside. Her hand was attached with drip and on her mouth covered with oxygen mask. It was hard to see her like this.

"Aru"
I said holding her hand.

"papa I... I...haven't ea...eat sugar"
We don't know how she got to know about this. But I know she wasn't lying.

"Yes, Aarohi I...I trust you. Don't worry I'll find out who added sugar to your food. Now you take rest princess"
He said and kissed on her forehead. We both left her ward and came out.

"Mallika do you know who did this??"
Sumedh asked me.

"no, Sumedh morning I only serve her the breakfast"
I said while remembering.

"afternoon I and Aarohi both eat lunch together in my office"
He said. Suddenly I remembered about his Chachi.

"Sumedh at night from past few days ma'am is giving her a glass of milk"
I said he looked at me in angry.

"what do you mean Mallika?? You are saying that Chachi is adding sugar to Aarohi's milk?? Who could you even think like that?? She's also a mother. I agree that she hasn't accepted you but she accepted Aarohi. She will never ever do like that!"
He shouted me and left from there.

"Mallika I heard everything Sumedh has blind trust on his Chachi so don't say anything about Chachi infront of him"
Arjun said while coming towards me.

"how's Aarohi??"
He asked with concern.

"she's fine now but..."
I replied

"Arjun can I ask you something??"

"why does Sumedh trust his Chachi so much?? Like I don't feel she is a nice person"
I said honestly to him.

"because she was the one who brought up, from childhood Chachi was everything for him he never disagreed her words but after you coming into his life his attachment with Chachi wasn't the same. I just want Sumedh to get to know about her truth and throw her out..."

"Truth?? What is it??"
I asked.

"No..Nothing"
He's trying to hide it. I also didn't asked further. I was right that his Chachi is not a good person. And I'm sure is the one who did this to Aru. But what is the truth Arjun is talking about?? And why will Sumedh kick her out from the house after knowing the truth?? Is it related to Sumedh??
