My face is wet and my head hurts. The tears continue to stream down my face. I can't stop. I can't stop crying. I feel like I need to scream. It hurts so much.
I hate nightmares like that. The ones with memories you can't escape, with the memories you wish was someone else's just as long as they weren't yours.
I look around the room i'm in, it's a guest room with white walls, a medium sized bed that i'm currently sleeping on, a built in closet and an en-suite bathroom. It's nice and luxurious but it's just not homely.
I think for a moment before coming to a conclusion. Lye and Sadie.
It feels like i'm travelling the halls forever, i don't know which room is Lye's, so I don't know which one to go in. That is until I hear him sleeping, many people would say it's strange that i know someone just by their sleeping patterns, but everyone's is slightly different.
I take a few breaths before opening the door to his room, seeing him and Sadie cuddled up together, making me smile softly at the sight of it. I walk over to them and just slide in beside them, not wanting to wake them but needing their comfort.
"little one..?" Sadie says sleepily, pulling me to her slightly. I don't resist but simply give in to her, cuddling up to her, my arms wrapping around her waist like she's my own personal teddy.
"I love you starlight" she murmurs, clearly still sleepy.
"I love you too pretty girl.." I whisper back before closing my eyes and allowing myself to fall into a peaceful slumber.
With the exhausting nightmare i had i was surprised that I fell asleep so easily, but I guess that's the thing about soulmates, they surprise you and can bring you so much comfort with just one movement.
