chapter 7: Fuck Karaoke

And there I stood, face to face with them, afraid of what could happen. What was gonna happen? This night was supposed to be fun and a time to not think of anything and just let go, but instead it turned into a disaster.

-7 hours earlier-

"So I was thinking, seeing as you haven't yet been to the karaoke bar, that we could take you tonight?" Fern suggested. It was a Friday night and we were sat in Fern's room, listening to some music and painting our nails.

I've been here for almost a month and finally I was starting to somewhat settle in, however there was still the continuous worry on my mind that I would be caught and taken back into care. Although I suppose Lye and his friends would never let that happen.

"That actually sounds kinda nice" I replied softly with a slight smile. I'd always heard about them going to Karaoke, ever since I even knew they existed, however I never went myself. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to go as it sounded fun, but I just never got the chance to.

"So it's settled then we'll go tonight, how does leaving at 11 sound to everyone? It only closes at 3 am, so if we make it there for 11:30 to 12 then it'll give us quite a few hours there" Fern suggested. Fern was good at planning, and seemed to be more responsible than most of us, so we all were easy to agree to her plans.

"We'll tell the boys later, I'm sure they'll be happy to go" Sadie smiled softly, her smile was the prettiest thing I've ever seen and it made me the happiest to see it.

The boys were out at god knows where doing god knows what, but they were expected back in a few hours so we could tell them then.

Whilst we waited we continued doing our nails and did a small fashion shoot, gossiping about random things and giggling like little girls. It was nice to just be girls for once with nothing to worry about, but what we were going to wear tonight.

Finally after about 2 hours we heard loud laughing from downstairs, signifying that the boys were back. We all looked at each other with mischievous smiles before running downstairs to them and using our own tactics on each of our boyfriends to convince them to go to karaoke, which eventually they all gave in to.

We all went to our rooms to get ready. I moved into Sadie's and Lye's once they realised I have nightmares and their the only ones that can calm them.

As soon as I walked into their bedroom, I decided to have a shower after Lye did. Washing my hair and body with my favourite strawberry soap and coconut shampoo and conditioner.

As soon as I walk out in my bathrobe, Sadie comes over to me and helps me with my hair. I not so secretly loved when she did my hair, so she did it every time I washed it which quickly went from once or twice a week to three or four times a week.

"I have the perfect dress for you!" Sadie squealed, searching her side of the closet.

"oh god" Lye groaned softly, picking out his own outfit. Sadie instantly giggled at his reaction and continued to search through the closet before finding the dress for me.

Finally pulling out a dress and a few accessories she pulled me into the bathroom with her and passed it to me. It was a black dress that stopped at my mid-thigh and was laced up at the front. She then passed me some heels, black thigh-highs, a necklace and some earrings.

"you'll look perfect" Sadie told me with a smile. I looked at the outfit, doubting myself slightly with if it'll look good on me or not. But thinking I only live once I decide to wear it. She helps me lace up the dress and my heels, her fingers brushing lightly against me as she does. Her touch made me weak but I made sure to hide it the best I could.
