chapter 29: consequences

Pain. Blood. Agony.

Why was everyday starting to feel like it was filled with that? Yes this place was better than past places i had ever been but how much more pain did we have to go through? I knew it was apart of the lifestyle but i just needed it to stop for a moment. Not forever because who truly wanted to live a boring life? But for a moment of a break. That's all i needed. Just so i could get back up again. 

Lye had come home covered in blood and me and Sadie instantly shot up. 

"what happened?" Creed instantly asked. 

"Fucking bastards" He groaned in agony.  

"clearly. They still out there?" Creed asked and Lye just gave him a curt nod. 

In a matter of seconds everyone but me and Sadie were out the door.

While they were searching for whoever did this to him, me and Sadie decided to take care of our boy. 

Sadie took him to the bedroom to help him clean his wounds whilst i went to the kitchen to make some herbal tea and get some paracetamol for him. I just hope whoever decided to fuck with my boy will be punished. He didn't deserve everything he was being put through, truthfully none of them deserved any of it.  

I watched as the kettle boiled and felt a single tear drop. Everything had become so evil, people were the reincarnations of the devil himself, why did people enjoy hurting others so much. The difference between us and them was we only wanted revenge and to hurt those evil in the world, they wanted to hurt anyone who crossed their path.

That was the true difference between an anti-hero and an evil villian. Only one of them truly had the right to want to hurt others.

I carefully took the tea to Lye and stopped for a moment as i saw all the marks on him. Who did this to him.?

"sweetheart it's nothing you don't have to look so worried" He stated when seeing me.

I simply said nothing and brought the tea to him, picking up a cloth after passing it other and started to softly disinfect his wounds. I heard his groans under his breath but i could tell that he was trying to not show how much it truly hurt him. 

We stitched up some of his wounds and placed bandaids over the ones that weren't as bad. 

"hello kitty hm?" he asked with a small chuckle at the hello kitty bandaids i placed over some of his wounds. 

"shut up" I mumbled looking away.

"aw you don't have to be embarrased little one, it's cute" I was turning red at his statement. How did he manage to make me blush even when he was wounded?

I cleared my throat, going back to a more serious mood and looked at him. "so what exactly happened?" 

He sighed, knowing he would have to tell us. 

Lye's pov:

There was a rival mafia trying to get under my skin. I had to give it to him, that he managed to, but he definetly didn't manage to survive that's for sure. 

He had sent me a message saying how pretty Sadie and Allia were. I had no idea how he found my number or where he saw what they looked like but what he had said made my skin feel too stuck to my body. His message was a mockery, that's all it was, to get under my skin, but it made me want to kill him with my bare hands. 

My outing was only supposed to be a quick errand but his words made a little visit seem like it wouldn't hurt anyone. Well apart from him that is. 

I decided to stop at his house but my idea was proven stupid as i saw the hundreds guards standing out of his house.

At that moment i didn't care though, i walked to the front of it but i was instantly recognised. I tried fighting off the guards, and i had gotten through half of them but the others managed to leave marks on me that i was only able to use running as my way to survive. 

I knew i had to live for Allia and Sadie so i couldn't simply continue to try and fight my way out, it would be stupid to try and it was proven when they took out their guns. 

I managed to escape but i felt only rage when i had arrived home, realising that bastard was still out there. 

I explained it all to Sadie and Allia realising there was no other way and they tried to reassure me that none of it was my fault but i felt and thought otherwise. 

"although as much as none of it is your fault they will probably try to cause more destruction" Sadie stated and she couldn't be more right. 

"so what do we do go after them or what?" Allia asked concerned, i was about to agree with her before Sadie came up with another plan.

"Actually i was thinking we should get out of the country for a couple of weeks. We're all extremely mentally tired and it would be nice to feel like we could relax for a little bit" Sadie suggested. I understood what she meant but i was reluctant. 

Get out of the country? that would mean leaving the others for a while. Would they be able to handle that? And it would also mean less protection for us, it sounded risky. 

"Babi i can see your questioning it but what's the worst that can happen?" Sadie asked. A lot of things that's what. But i could see that Allia was already convinced and i knew that truthfully we all needed a bit of a break. 

I sighed softly and decided to agree with the plan. "under one condition, we come back on the 26th" that meant we would have exactly 2 weeks there, it was enough of a time to have a break but also meant we wouldn't be gone for too long. 

"deal" Sadie smiled softly and we started to pack for the moments of slight freedom we would have.
