A few weeks later, Adrienette tells everyone about their engagement. The others are thrilled for them.
"I for one am glad you two are not at each other's throats anymore," Gabriel says.
"I am happy for you both, Adrien has always been like a son to me, and you are already a big part of our family," Nathalie says.
Marinette smiles. She never felt this loved in her life. Sure her parents loved her, but that was different somehow.
Adrienette was married a few months later. Gabriel and Nathalie, Tikki and Plagg, Pollen and Wayzz, Alya and Nino, Kim and Odine, Alix and Max, Sabine, and Tom attended the wedding. The pastor was Ivan, so his wife Mylene came too.
The wedding was lovely. It might have been short, but it was just right. There was no reception. Marinette and Adrien preferred it this way. The two went out of town for their honeymoon. They were gone for almost a month. Upon their return, Marinette was eating more than she had at first.
Others suspected something but did not say a word.
Six months later, she was showing. Then, everyone knew she was pregnant. Three months later, Hugo was born. A year later came Emma, and then there was Louis. They adopted Elizabeth. Then, they adopted a dog named Riley.

To some many years later...
"Mom and Dad, is that really how you got together?" Hugo asks.
"Yes, it sure was," Marinette says.
"I think it sounds romantic," Elizabeth says.
"Yes, it is romantic," Emma agrees.
"Smushy stuff, yuck!" Louis says and sticks out his tongue.
"So, mom hurt her ankle, you took pity on her, she realized you were a great guy and that is it?" Hugo asks.
"Yes, well that is the gest of it, son," Adrien says.
"My, my look at the time," Marinette adds.
The children get ready for bed.
Marinette and Adrien do the same. "So when do I tell them?" Marinette asks.
"I believe you mean, when do we tell them?" Adrien smirks.
