Natalia yawned once again, rubbing her eyes as she turned another page.

"Do you really have to breathe so loudly?"

She glanced at the annoyed Stefano over her book. "Can you stop typing so loudly?"

Stefano glared. "You're in my office."

Natalia shrugged and started reading her book again.

"Why are you sitting on my couch when I told you not to?"

"I'm lying, not sitting. Besides, I don't believe you. Pepe told me that you've never brought a girl to the manor."

"I didn't know Pepe was always watching me."

"And why is this couch so uncomfortable? It's like I'm lying on bricks."

His hands tensed before he curled his fingers into fisted balls. "Get out."

Natalia huffed. "Only when you tell me where Lorenzo is."

"Why don't you ask Pepe? Since he's apparently watching me, maybe he watches Lorenzo too."

"He's not watching you."

"Really? Why don't you go to him and talk about that and relay the message to me?"

"I don't want to."

"Why?"

"Well, maybe I like hanging out with you."

"Bullshit. Get out." He knew she simply wanted Lorenzo's location.

Accepting defeat, Natalia put the bookmark in her book and slammed it shut. "Fine."

Stefano rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to his screen but she saw his straying gaze, how whenever he glanced at the couch, anxiety filled his eyes.

What was with that couch?

Natalia shook her curiosity away and left, knowing there would be no use asking him. She was obviously not supposed to know. Was it another mafia thing? Had someone been killed on it? She doubted it. They would've simply disposed of it then.

She knocked on Pepe's door and was let in a moment later. "Can I ask you something?"

"Let me guess," Pepe acted as though he was thinking about it. "Lorenzo?"

She smiled and shook her head. "That's not what I wanted to ask but that's a brilliant question as well. On that note, where is Lorenzo?"

Pepe rolled his eyes and shut the folder, clearing his desk of documents. "I brought that on myself, didn't I?"

He did.

"He's unavailable. What's your other question?"

In other words, he's out doing business they didn't want her to know about. Which would most likely be killing people. "Let me get this right," Natalia took a seat before Pepe and leaned in to whisper. "So Stefano sees everything and listens to everything?"
